Here in Central Alberta, Canada, March is considered to be a spring month although with extremes.
Today was a good example. When I got up today there was light rain. It was about plus 2 C. The rain soon stopped and the wind started. Then snow flurries occurred. The rain lasted about 30 minutes. Just enough to make things wet. The light snow lasted about 60 minutes.
March can be very windy. Weather systems go through quickly. We tend to get much precipitation in March.
So today was a day that's quite common in March. You feel the warmth from the sun ,but the wind makes it feel cold.
So what will tomorrow bring? It's supposed to get cold tomorrow.
There's several days of rainstorms that are supposed to be threatening our island starting Tuesday. You have the same sort of weather we used to get in March. But then... we could get a snowstorm all the way into April.
ReplyDeleteDo you get Chinook winds?
ReplyDeleteOur March weather is all over the place. Yesterday we hit 70° and this morning it is 34°. Next they are calling for a chance of snow. Winter is not over yet. Take care, enjoy your day and the week ahead.
ReplyDeleteIt’s the same here in the east!
ReplyDeleteIt was warmish but also windy and cool here yesterday.
ReplyDeleteOur March weather is up and down, too. Warm today but getting much chillier as the week passes with possible flurries by the weekend. One never knows which jacket one will need when going out each day!?! ;)
ReplyDeleteToday started foggy, but then the sun broke through. There's quite some warmth in it, and the birds are singing - it's lovely.
ReplyDeleteMarch can’t decide the tune,
ReplyDeleteRain at dawn and snow by noon!
PS Is Alberta going on PERMANENT Daylight Time like British Columbia?
March in Alberta, also means people are just done with winter:)
ReplyDeleteWarmer yesterday and cold today. I hate the wind also but it is windy here most days:(
ReplyDeleteMarch here has been windy, rainy and cool. The usual weather for this time of year. When the sun comes out, it does feel like spring.
ReplyDeleteIt is wonderful and springlike here. Tomorrow we have very strong winds and tornado warnings. Thursday, snow.
ReplyDeleteWe are having higher temperatures this week here in northern Virginia, but there may be more snow next week.
ReplyDelete64(18) here today but 80(27) Thursday! I can't wait.
