Happy Mothers Day

I had been thinking about a Mothers Day post but I got behind. Now I know that's a really lame excuse but I admit it.

I really decided not to post when I read my friend Ted's super post "My Mom." He said things extremely well and covered the Mom topic broadly. He also wrote from the male point of view.  It's an excellent post so I'm recommending that you read it.

Ted is an excellent everything...writer, teacher, dad, husband, friend, story teller....Our school hired Ted when he graduated and he was a golden hire. I enjoyed teaching with him and have watched with pleasure as he has blossomed in his career. So make sure you take a look at Ted's blog.

  3. Had a Bellingham week end....socked in the whole weekend and this morning heavy fog!
You'll like Ted. Does a very good job of developing a topic.

  5. I had a wonderful kookum mothers day. I got to spend the morning with my grandson. We then headed off to find the Medicine river wildlife center for the afternoon. amazingly we spent two hours there chatting and watching the young owls. I feel some more paintings coming on.
We did not walk the grounds as it rained pretty steady and its a long drive to Edmonton wet, so we stayed in the building. I will post photos soon.

  6. Tess, the people at MRWC are fantastic. They really see their mandate as educational. Great place to take a grandchild. It's well worth walking around. These people have done presentations in California on fostering wildlife. The have pioneered and researched fostering.
