A Fourth of July Picnic

Since I have American visitors I had a picnic today.

We walked through the Gaetz Lake Sanctuary

We found some sort of leaf roller.

My picnic. Notice the millions of people in the area! I do live in a sparsely populated area.

    1. We weren't by ourselves but I took the photo to show that we would look like the only ones there.

  7. You are fortunate to be alone, here you stumble over the crowds in nature, especially when the weather is warm.

  8. Now that's the best kind of celebration: laid back and in the company of good friends. Thanks for sharing it with me! :-)

  9. I loved meeting your family! Your picnic in a nice quiet park is delightful. Here, where we live the 4th turns into a busy dreadful holiday of drinking, driving and fights. We stay home and let everyone at it!

  10. That leaf roller thing is interesting. Never seen anything like that. Does a bug live in there, like a cocoon or something?

    1. It was fun. One person in the group never stops talking and keeps us entertained.

  12. Someone at the picnic table is a determined hiker ...eating with their back pack on :)

  14. We have hunkered down for the weekend. Away from the citiots and the tourists! Crazy people!
Looks like a fun one, even with rain in the afternoon. We've had rain all day. Grumpy cats.
