I Think I Blog Too Much

Most people dream. Some dream often. Some have a recurring dream. Others have scary dreams. Some dreams are very realistic. There are probably a couple more kinds of dreams too!

Last night I had a very realistic dream. I dreamed I was on a long bus trip from Saskatoon to Edmonton return. It was a school trip. I'm not sure if I was a teacher or a student or if the students were adults. That part was fuzzy in my dream.

The realistic part comes in when I dreamed that I left my nice red jacket in Edmonton. I was upset about leaving the jacket. Then I discovered that my nice red cap was missing. I was really upset. Had I left it at the last place we stopped? I stopped the bus to decide what to do. We decided to carry on as the cap was not worth driving the bus back to look for it.

As soon as we got going on the bus I noticed a cap peak in front of me. I touched my head and there was the cap. The cap had been on my head all the time. I was embarrassed for having stopped the bus and making such a big fuss.

I remember dreaming , "This would make a good blog post!" Then I woke up. It took me a minute   to come to my senses and realize that I had been dreaming.

So is this an indication that I have been blogging too much that I dream about it? Do you have dreams that seem very realistic until you wake up?

  6. It has been a while and my dreams are too fuzzy to try to put a message to them. If the dream is realistic I usually find it haunting.

    1. I'm not sure about the issue of dreams having meaning. I think dreams are a result of activities which cause the dream.

  7. Boy, I sure do! That was a doozy, though. Last night I had a very realistic dream and had to check to see if it was a dream or not. I don't think you blog too much, Red. Just right! :-)

  9. My dreams have always been pretty realistic, and I dream in color too. I liked hearing about yours - a lot of mine sometimes are quite far-fetched, with crazy things happening.

    1. Yes dreams can become very confused and crazy things happen. Close your eyes and look up to the left. Spell Montana in your mind and see what happens.

  11. Red I would love to know if there is really meaning behind dreams or if it's just that... only a dream. I very seldom remember my dreams, I believe because by the time I finally find my way to bed I'm so exhausted I must hit REM sleep in about 3 minutes. I know I don't sleep enough, I'm too busy being intoxicated by lifes small wonders.

Is there such a thing as blogging too much? I didn't think so for about 5 years, but lately as I'm sure you've noticed I've cut way back, again I'm too busy savoring this journey and I like to dream while I'm wide awake. :-)

    Have a wonderful week!

  12. I dream a lot and most of my dreams are like yours...I am looking for something. Last night I dreamed I went to work in a pair of shorts (I am retired and I don't wear shorts). I wanted to go home and change clothes but someone had stolen my car. It was a relief to wake up. :)

  13. I have an exceptionally realistic dream that repeats in my head. It's about a house I'm living in and it's incredibly detailed. Even as I write this I can close my eyes and envision this house. But I've never lived in this house or to my knowledge even visited it.

  14. I dream a lot and can cope with 'just dreams'. I grade my dreams into dreams, night ponies, night mares and night stallions. It's the night stallions I really have difficulty with. I have tried to isolate every food, drink and behaviour but can find no causal link between various severity of dream and any likely cause.

  15. I enjoy your blogging don't stop Red. I enjoyed your dream. Your an x teacher. Now write while your awake and make it a mini book continued that dream of your own version.Your grandkids I a m sure later would like it. I bet you could do it and it would be great.

My son has things happen without a dream. He once told me he was in the mall and he knew so and so would be coming around the corner in five minutes. He looked up and sure enough the guy was there and they had not seen each other or made contact for many years or live near each other. He said he has that allot. I dream funny ones. My hubby so far every night the last two weeks talks out loud a sentence. Sometimes in dutch and most times English.

I read some of your comments where people had dream. Very interesting. Like Stephen's dream. Henny Penny. Montanagirl. Far Side Of Fifty, Vickit 42.

  17. Sounds like something I would do in real life! I am forever searching for my reading glasses, only to find them on the top of my head. I think maybe you like telling stories, and you knew that what happened in your dream would make for a good story. :-)

    1. I think many people spend a fair bit of their lives looking for something. I looked all over my yard yesterday for my garden trowel. I found it.

A nice dream about a red cap, I must try and have one myself.
