I Can Make You Happy

                          ...SNOW!!!

Yes, all I need to say is snow an a whole lot of people are happy for many different reasons. Some, like me, genuinely like snow. Those who don't get snow like it because of it's beauty. Others will say "Ha ,ha, He's got snow again."

It snowed overnight and we had light snow all day for a total of 4 in. (10 cm). It's been minus 9 C(7 F) all day.So I was out right after breakfast to clean up my driveway and walks. It's the first time I've had to shovel snow this winter.

See my Nov. 6 post where I reported that we had a high of 17 C. I also predicted that my next day's picture might be very different. Well, it wasn't the next day but 4  days later.

If I'd had time today I would have got the cross country skis out and set my ski tracks!

    1. Cold comes with the territory. We get the dry powdery snow, not the wet slushy stuff.

    1. Well, I don't think anybody is ready for cold. Some of us get used to cold and carry on.

  6. To me snow is lovely to see but certainly not something I'd like to live with. Just as well we are all different, huh?

  8. Very beautiful photos. Winter is quite photogenic. I'm just not ready for it yet. Winter is long enough here; no need to start this early!

  9. I love the snow till I get to the city and then its all dirty and just nasty looking. I like walking with my snowshoes and cross country skis and don't mind the cold - just dress warm in layers, eh.

  10. I'm just finding all my outerwear to get ready. It was warm enough for no jacket yesterday.

  13. We've got cold weather coming, but we need to travel to the High Country for snow. It's a-comin' as the days get shorter and darker. I am enjoying your pictures of snow, though. I suspect we'll have more. :-)

  17. I like snow. It really is beautiful especially on pictures, because you don't feel the cold. :)

Where I live now hasn't snowed that much yet but it gets colder and colder day by day.

  19. I love snow but then I guess I don't have to make my way back and forth to work. But I love the look of it, the feel of it and walking in it. It's just beautiful and so are your photos.

  20. It brings back memories of when my kids were little and actually liked shoveling out the driveway. ;)

  21. I cannot remember when I last saw snow like that: probably the 1980s. I'm hoping that this winter whilst I'm in Scotland I might have some. It would be lovely to see so long as it doesn't last too long!
