It's Over!

The last few days have brought many seasonal greetings and preparations for our celebration. All too soon it is behind us.

We have a quiet day here but it is also enjoyable. We have the full meal with all the trimmings. I forgot to take a photo but there was: turkey, gravy, dressing, potato, sweet potato, corn, cranberry, aspic and pecan pie!
Santa didn't bring me a thermometer as this one shows a couple of degrees too warm, but this shows that it was cold.

We had snow again yesterday

So as far as the weather goes it was very Christmas like with snow and cold.
Now many people don't get snow for Christmas and they think snow is great for Christmas. Snow definitely sets the mood.

I hope everybody had a great day as I certaily did.

    1. If we set the house temp for 70F or so the heat will come on at the temps you have.

  8. What a difference only a few provinces away! We were 15 C. two days ago. Frost on the green grass today. I want some snow. Perhaps freezing rain tonight!
    Merry Christmas!

    1. Those few provinces are large. I remember the first time I drove across Ont. I couldn't believe how big it was.

  10. Yes, very cold! We were about 40 degrees F here, and the sun even broke through the clouds for a bit. We had a similar dinner but we had to work for it. I'll explain when i get a post up later today.

    1. You do things the real way...you make the stuff...there's nothing better than home made. We made everything except the pie.

  11. Hi Red, I sure like that thermometer with C on the outer circle and F on the inside. I can always remember 32 F = 0 C but then it seems confusing to translate from there. Although we use mostly F in USA, C really is more logical with 0 at water freezing.

    1. I don't convert except for my American follower. I'm surprised how many Americans are familiar with Centigrade. I just look on my faithful round thermometer.

  13. We had the warmest Christmas ever with not a hint of snow anywhere. I hate that! We are finally supposed to get some white stuff next week. Glad you had a nice Christmas! I am still full from yesterday's supper.

  15. Glad you had a good Christmas. Snow would make it seem more like Christmas. It was very warm and humid here. We have had the air conditioner running continuously since Wednesday.

  19. Happy Holidays, Red. That is a wonderful feast you had. I don't think we've ever had turkey for Christmas. It's just too much work to prepare. Then again, our new year celebration is even more work with all the traditional things mom likes to prepare.
