NEW ARENA

We recently opened a new arena. It's a very bright modern state of the art arena. It's small but has many amenities worked into it. There's a walking track, meeting rooms and large dressing rooms.

There's lots of art work included. There are large murals so I have another post on this one.

Of course , I'm interested in the ice. It has an excellent ice surface and is comfortably warm.

So I had a good skate today.

Now there are no photos of me but the two ladies in white and pink are both in their mid 80's

  7. Are you referring to this arena? - "Located in downtown Rotary Recreation Park adjacent to the Pidherney Curling Centre, the Servus Arena is a modern, NHL-sized rink constructed to meet environmental and accessibility standards."

    1. You got it. The money came from grants in support of Canada Winter Games for 2019!

  8. I have a feeling that skating (and other physical activity) is the reason those mid-eighties ladies got to be where they are :) I'm not sure I could stand up on skates any more but when I was younger I went regularly.

    1. A surprising number of seniors are active but there should be many more who are active.

  10. That is wonderful to see elders out there skating. I couldn't do it, skating on blades never was one of my favorite things to do. It's fantastic that you got some nice photos of them skating.
