FIRST BLOOMS

Just so you know that I'm still not sitting in a snow bank or sleeping in my snow house, here are the first blooms I've found.

Our plants develop rapidly because we now have many hours of sunlight. The sun rose at 6:03 this morning ans sets at 9:00 PM for a total of 14 hours and 57 minutes of sunlight. The 20 C (69 F) temperature helps too.

  2. So glad you've seen your first blooms! Plants really do grow rapidly in areas where there is snow. I'm always amazed at how quickly they grow. Enjoy!

  4. Spring was very late in Europe too which delayed the tulip blooming for us. What are those blue flowers? I should know, but I've forgotten.

  10. Nice to have some flowers for a change, isn't it? Is that blue-eyed grass? I planted some of that last year and it hasn't come up again. I think our clayey soil killed it. :(

  11. We have a few of those bulbs, too, and they just sprang up here as well. I like them because the deer leave them alone! Glad you're getting some milder weather there.
