NOW TELL ME SOMETHING...

Most bloggers have something in their sidebar that tells them who their followers are.

Now it used to be that you could click your clicker on the follower's face and you would get information on the follower and you would be taken to their blog.

Now all I get is a few blogs they follow. Sometimes the name of their blog. Are some of the followers not bloggers?

So did I click on something to turn these functions off?  Am I supposed to click my clicker on something else. Am I to right click in some mysterious place.

I have tried a number of things and nothing works.

Can someone tell me what I have to do to get the extra information that I want?  Does anyone else have the same problem?

I would like to be able to check on my followers and then decide if I want to follow them. Usually if someone follows me I follow them unless their topic is far from my interests.

Now that I've got this off my chest I can go outside and enjoy the smoke from the forest fires in British Columbia.

😧

  1. Well! I hadn't noticed that ALL followers are now like this; I thought it was only the last few that followed me. Now I'm really curious.

Are you getting a lot of smoke? It's been awfully tough out west with all those fires.

    1. I'm glad to know that it's not my fault on this end. Yes, we've had smoke for about two weeks. Air quality 7 -10. We didn't see blue sky or clouds for almost two weeks.

  3. I went and checked it out. You are right. One can no longer see the profiles of the followers, only a list of blogs they are following publicly. It hardly makes any sense then to show the widget so I've removed mine. At least for now.

    1. You're right. As it is it's not worth having.

  4. I follow your blog and several others but I do not have a blog of my own. I enjoy reading blogs but I don't feel like I would be able to write an interesting one. I have noticed what you say about clicking on followers too. I think sometimes Google does change things up. However, if you click on a person's name when they leave a comment you will often get more information.

    1. Yes, this gives information but sometimes the "lurkers" don't leave a comment and you can't find their blog. Thanks for reading my blog.

  5. Let me know if you can click on this comment. The smoke/smog is so yellow now - and I live in the Fraser Valley. Drove up to Ashcroft on Friday - and they had had RAIN - and the ground still had water and MUD. And a mud slide that was tragic.

  6. As I am not a prophet or religious or political leader I do not have followers so I am afraid I cannot help you.

  7. I have seen the same problem, something new in the blogger world, I don't know. It is irritating all those changes to make things worse.

  8. Hello, I have not click recently on my followers from the friend list. I keep a separate list of bloggers I like to follow. Sorry, I can not help you. I hope you have some rain soon to clean up the smoke filled sky. Happy Monday, enjoy your day and the new week ahead!

  9. That's quite the mystery! I've sort of stopped following people. I just visit anyone who visits my blog post. It's simpler that way. Then, there is the odd person who doesn't post and I go check them out.

    1. If someone follows me I like to check them out and see if their blog is one I'd like to follow.

  10. I will be so glad when this smoke is finally finished. I guess those people who have lost their homes feel the same. I'll have to try your technique of clicking on the pictures and see what happens. I haven't done it for awhile but our blog creators are constantly fiddling with things.

  11. I see the same issue. I rarely click on followers at that section. I do tend to click on the profile of someone who comments, for instance, and there it does show the person's page, assuming that they blog too.

  13. I think they're all like that now. I can't get anymore info about my blogging followers either. Blogger must have changed something.

    1. If you click on the comments you can get complete information but I'm still lost as to the followers who show up.

  14. I have the same problem. Blogger is always changing things that are supposed to improve the blogging site but it ends up frustrating lots of people. The worst thing is they don't tell you so you have to figure it out yourself or do what you are doing, asking other bloggers about their experience with the issue.

  15. I read by a comment on my blog it has to do with Wordpress that doesn't match with Blogspot.

  16. I have noticed that sometimes when I click on commenters' profiles they don't have their own blogs. (Or at least none that I can see.) Maybe some people are just readers as opposed to bloggers...?

  17. I've noticed that as well. Also, it doesn't seem to be consistent either. I hate it when they change things without notice.
