THE MICRO MANAGER GETS HANDED A ZINGER

Okay a zinger is a very witty sharp reply. We hear them all the time. Most of them are funny.

Well, the other night when I was in emergency with a medical reaction a number of tests were done.  Most of it is classified as blood work. One test I was given I had never heard of before. The test is to X ray the intestine and see how much waste material is contained there. I always though X rays took pictures of bones only.

Well getting on to 3:30 AM the Micro manager was eager for this visit to be over. She had been pacing the floor for a couple of hours. The young emergency doc finally came in to give me the results of tests.

He said the retention of waste material in the system was a concern.

The Micro Manager could hardly contain herself but she did. What came into her head was this. I could have told you he was full of sh__!

  4. When you manage to move it, Yorkie has a bunch of ideas about how to clean up and they are conveniently posted on his blog!

  5. I laughed at the micro manager and she must be one of the first wives in history to refrain from saying that!

  8. I wonder if that doctor has heard all the poop jokes already? Being young, maybe he hasn't yet! It must have been hard for the MM to stay quiet with a great line like that :)

  9. I do not know if The Micro Manager ever reads "Hiawatha House" but if she did she would realise that her beloved husband is filled with kindness, humility and a dry wit... and not the stuff that she mentioned in the middle of the night.

  10. This is so funny. I can just imagine how tired she must have been at that hour, and how hard it was not to go ahead and say what she was thinking. :)

  14. Ha! Well, that's making light of what could otherwise be a serious issue. Making lemonade from lemons, so to speak. Anyway, I hope things are moving along better!

  15. Oh my. You've been married a long time. When asked about an upcoming minor surgery the nurse told me and my spouse "no he won't be out. He'll be awake but no aware. Mrs. T. responded... He's that way all the time...:) Yes we've been married 50 years

  17. Yep, that is a zinger all right. I'm sure my wife would have thought (and maybe even said) the same thing.
