HEY, I'VE GOT LOTS OF SNOW AGAIN!

I should not have posted my last post about our spring season progressing. What did I get today?  Well, snow and lots of it. It snowed all day...heavy wet stuff. We ended up with about 10 cm (4 in).

Now I know better than to brag a little about good weather. Too many times it can turn ugly in a hurry.

So here's what it looks like today.

     Spruce trees loaded with snow

Snow covered stuff in my back yard

The lonely snow covered chair. John from John's Island wanted to know what was here

John from John's Island wanted to know about the wall or fence. Now he can see two different views of the fence within three days.

A view through the heavy blowing snow.

Snow and spruce trees blowing and a little movement from the elderly photographer.

    1. You know Linda, I think you were in on this storm. We get wet air masses that come from Oregon and go over the mountains and because of the pressure system they blow into the Rockies. As the air rises and cools the moisture falls out.

    1. I think the snow should be gone by tomorrow but this isn't the last snow storm of the season.

  6. Hi Red, Wow, I'm surprised! This is exactly the kind of luck that I have ... I would say something good about the weather and then the next thing I know ... it's snowing. I'll bet it won't last long. Hang in there! :-) John

    1. I haven't heard from my daughter on this snow so I can imagine what I'll hear about the next time I talk to her.

  9. Winter's last gasp, for sure. This is NOT what one expects in the last week before May. But where you live, it's a different story. :-)

    1. Nope! Not the last gasp. I'm sure we'll get more snow.

  10. April is a very confused month. We usually don't get snow but the weather has gotten colder and the rain makes it miserable. Hopefully warm weather will return for both of us.

  13. Argh! I thought of you when I heard it snowed in Michigan. I figured you might have had some too. (Not that you're close to Michigan, but you ARE farther north.) Hope it melts fast and doesn't harm the grass!

    1. It will disappear and it doesn't harm plants. But this won't be the last snow we get.

  18. I always say the good thing about an April snow is, you don’t have to shovel it. Nature takes care of that! My daughter in Minnesota and my sister in Wisconsin got the same white stuff this weekend and no one was happy about it either.

  19. So maybe the previous post in which you mentioned Spring caused a backlash from Winter, Red? I recall that we had an April snowstorm around Easter when we lived in VA. Hope your latest snow is a fast melting one.
