I listen to a lot of music. I discovered earbuds a few years ago. Well, I really didn't discover them. I won them in a draw at the casino. I started using them and liked them. I listen to music on you tube and play a few games. I don't have a phone so I don't use them outside.
They were a bit temperamental or maybe it was my lack of experience with them. I found that they would stop working and needed to be paired and "hooked" up again.
I'd gotten to the point where I had them working for a long period of time. Then last week they stopped working , first one and then the other. Since I don't really understand their system I just try things and it usually works.
This time I tried a few things and I couldn't get them back. I asked my son for advice but it's difficult for him when he's not here to give advice. So I tried things. I think I tried the right thing at the wrong time and the wrong thing at the right time. I managed to get my earbud completely confused.
So one afternoon I said , there must be a logical solution here. I went through the instructions again and again. The left earbud was on but the right one was not on. I knew they had to be paired again. but I couldn't get them to Pair. Somehow I had them side by side in my hand and the led came on. Hey! They were pairing.
All I had to do was go to you tube and connect them.
So I'm in business again and listening to music.
At this time I listen to Austrian folk music and South African folk music. Austrian folk music has lots of vocal and brass. The South African has no vocals and the main instrument is the concertina.
So What will I find next? What do you listen to?
Sports podcasts…
ReplyDeleteI listen to a lot of podcasts with mine while out in the garage or yard working. Occasionally I listen to music as well but mostly classic rock and American folk music.
ReplyDeleteYou tube is great for instructions on many things.
ReplyDeleteI am glad your ear buds are working.
Take care, have a happy Wednesday!
Two buds fell out and blew a fuse!
ReplyDeleteRed had a case of ear buds blues.
Sorry to HEAR your story,

I can't say I listen to a lot of music, but when I do, it tends towards indie music.
ReplyDeleteI don't use earbuds as I have hearing aids. I only listen to music in the car using the radio. I like old rock and current songs.
ReplyDeleteI mostly listen to CBC but I do like music from the '70s and '80s.
ReplyDeleteIf you don't have a cell phone, what do you pair them with?
ReplyDeleteMy hearing aids are my ear buds, and I pair them with my iPhone music.
Glad the problem is solved!
ReplyDeleteI’m afraid I still listen to music from the 60s-70s. And songs from musicals. I do love listening to them on my AirPods especially when walking.
ReplyDeleteMy wife’s earbuds get erratic every now and then. I use hearing aids that never fail. However, I do use earbuds occasionally at night at bedtime when the aids are charging. But they are the wired-in kind, so they always work.
ReplyDeleteEar buds hurt my ears so I do not use them! I do have an old set of ear phones! I am a music snob I only listen to the 50 and 60’s music!
ReplyDeleteI love listening to many types of music: World Music which would include the music of Africa and other nations, Folk, light Rock, Gospel/Christian, pop, and bits of other music in smaller doses like Jazz, Soul, Funk etc. I'm glad you got your ear buds working again.
ReplyDeletevery interesting read dear Red , i enjoyed how earbuds were confused all by themselves and then fix again without doing much ,that reminded me my mother in law who had habit to get annoyed and then befriend all by herself without any obvious reason
ReplyDeletemusic is pure and beautiful form of living and i am glad you are back to it again
