So today I got really brave and went out to look at the white winter I've been complaining about. I also remembered to take the camera.
Snow removal from our streets is "sorta." They scrape the snow of and push it to one side of the street so that we have about a lane and a half to drive on and no place to park.
For intersections in a close they push the snow on to the boulevard.
To navigate my backyard I've had to shovel little paths. These have been snowed in several times this winter.
Same thing here......it just seems like an never ending winter. I haven't heard one soul that says they aren't ready for spring.
ReplyDeleteFor me winter is a piece of cake! I don't have to go outside when it's really nasty. You have to go out no matter what. I do know that you become accustomed to being outdoors and you can dress appropriately.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that your poll on the end of winter is totally accurate and no 19 times out of twenty stuff.
Hi Red, Looks like you have enough snow..me too..and yes I have had it with winter too...but it keeps hanging on..today I could feel the warmth of the sun and it was light til 5:45..so things are improving slowly:)
ReplyDeleteMy BIL Pete used to write that he was worn out from shoveling all the sunshine from his driveway, but now that I am sitting in his house after his passing, I keep remembering that this Florida weather is simply amazing. I'm going home on Tuesday and will miss this weather!
ReplyDeleteOur snow has melted and I don't miss it one iota. Looks like you still have a lot of melting ahead of you.
ReplyDeleteI've been watching your snow stick. we probably have about the same amount of snow.
ReplyDeleteThe sun sets here at 6:20 tonight...rises at 7:18 in the morning.
When Pete used the shovelling sunshine on me it cracked me up. I'll always remember that one.
ReplyDeleteFlorida weather is a nice break but home's best.
Rae , when it starts melting here it will go fast as we have some extra daylight. It just has to get started.
