This morning, my favorite radio program, the Current, on CBC , had a section on Artificial Intelligence.
Now I've been trying very hard to ignore the AI issue. I think that I'll not be using a computer when AI becomes common. Or AI has nothing for me. Nothing that I would use. You hear some controversial issues around AI. AI can be used for negative things. So I have not given AI much thought.
Today that changed. I started writing the history of my family starting from my parents. I have many stories about my parents and many photos.
I started the story using a blog format. The blog format is the only one I know. So before long I realized that the blog format wouldn't work very well. So Keith did the only thing he can do. He stopped writing and working on the project.
The occasional idea crossed my mind. My new niece knows everything about computers so I'll ask her. I talked to some family members but they thought my project was OK but a little too challenging.
So today I was listening the the radio show and people were phoning in when one caller caught my attention. He was writing a family history and had found that AI was very useful tool. I was busy and didn't listen to all he had to say.
Well, that got me thinking! I will have to think about my project again. If somebody else can do their story , so can I.
So I will be checking friends and relatives to see if they can help me with AI.
I guess I'll have to learn about AI after all.
