So today I'm not sure if I'm embracing , fighting or just keeping my head above the snow. It is a quiet gentle time. Roads are terrible and there have been some serious accidents.
I wish there wasn't so much snow. |
Big hat for my lamp |
Lots more room for snow on the spruce tree. |
A Juniper cover up. |
One bird feeder closed for business |
Today it was 70 degrees here. Wow on the snow... Be safe & stay bundled up & warm...
ReplyDelete70 degrees(19 C)would e very pleasant. The cold and the snow are not enemies . They can be your friends. At these temp you don't need much for layers. Driving would be treacherous now.
DeleteSnow is so beautiful and treacherous! Be safe!
ReplyDeleteThe roads are dangerous and I'm glad I don't have to go anyplace tonight.
DeleteWe've had a fairly midwinter, but I will be glad when spring comes regardless. You have to admit that the snow IS pretty.
ReplyDeleteAt this time of year winter does seem a bit long!
DeleteYou should have known better than to anger the Weather Gods, Red! Now see what you've done... :-)
ReplyDeleteYeah . I really made a boo boo. Funny thing my rain dance last year didn't work!
DeleteI've never been in that much snow. The spruce tree is beautiful. I would never get on the roads on a day like that. We have not really had any winter weather here this year. That's not good because the insects will have a head start.
ReplyDeleteYes the roads are treacherous under these snow conditions. Many people are still on the roads.
ReplyDeleteBug conditions are the same here....mild winter...lots of healthy bugs.
Sorry about the shovelling Red, but it sure is pretty. We (lower mainland BC) got a light skiff of snow overnight - no shovelling required. It will all melt today. The sun is out, and the birds were singing early this morning.
ReplyDeleteWell, I can't really complain about all the shoveling as we've had very little snow all winter.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful snow shots. Enjoy the snow as Spring is almost on your doorstep! Cheers, Ruby.
ReplyDeleteYes , I keep telling myself it won't be long!
ReplyDeleteWOah, that's a lotta snow! We have the mildest winter I can remember since moving here. My mother-in-law, who moved her from Toronto last fall, thought this winter was terrible. I hate to break it to her that this was a good winter by her terms! She needs to spend her winters in Florida. And yes, spring is on the way. The red-winged blackbirds are back, snow or no snow. Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteLike you we're used to snow. we tend to get a lot of snow in March. Yes some of the early migrants will show up and make our day.
ReplyDeleteMy Dad spent 20 winters in Phoenix. It was a very good part of his life.
That's quite a bit of snow you have there, Red...So much shoveling to do :-(
ReplyDeleteSince I'm retired I have time to work at the snow. The snow was light, dry and fluffy so it's easy to shovel.
DeleteWOW! Big snow! Nice for water and mud later on!

Now I always thought that Colorado was the land of the big snow?? Have I been reasing too many Louis L'Amour?? Ya I know the snow is in the mountains.
DeleteYou sure jinxed it, didn't you??!!!
ReplyDeleteWe've had rain all day. Not pretty, I can tell you.
It's a 'damp kind of cold!'
I'm to sick to shovel, and hubby's back too bad, I am grateful for just rain!!!!
Cheers!
Yes , I angered the snow and rain gods. I'm sorry!
ReplyDeleteHi Red, You got dumped on! It is kinda pretty! :)
ReplyDeleteWe did get dumped on but we've had so little snow that we really need the moisture.
ReplyDeleteOK, cancel that. TOnight it was snow!
ReplyDeleteFor the last two days our snow has been melting like crazy. Today was plus 10.
