My front yard |
You've seen this before. My ski trail was here. |
More of my ski trail. |
We had 12 hours and 47 minutes of sunlight today. With the coming of long days things develop very quickly here. We may have a late start but we catch up to everybody.
Say it isn't so..you got snow ! Lucky you! It is raining here if it gets any colder it could turn to snow:)
ReplyDeleteThis is the remains of our winter snow, but we know we'll get some fresh snow.
ReplyDeleteI am down at sea level, but just a few miles away from here in the Mt. Baker Wilderness, we are getting two feet of new snow on top of what's already there. This will not be good for the hiking season. Today, though, I haven't seen any snow at all. Good for you seeing the robin! :-)
ReplyDeleteHigh altitudes and mountains we expect snow. The Rockies have a a lot of snow the last few weeks.
ReplyDeleteWell, just keep it. I'm loving spring. We will pay in summer.
ReplyDeleteYou're right, I don't like heat. If an air conditioner is needed , it's too hot.
DeleteAs I wait for the sun to burn through the morning mist and the temperatures to chase the oft-broken March records, I think of your snow and ..... feel glad I am here and not there!
ReplyDeleteThere certainly are places of moderation.
DeleteAs far as I am concerned, you can keep your snow! I lived in northern Michigan for 5 years and I made myself a promise - if I ever got south of Richmond, VA again, I would stay there! I think I was cold for the entire 5 years I lived there! But...enough of my complaining...I love your style of writing...always brings a smile to my face! And I know you will enjoy spring when it finally does arrive!
ReplyDeleteIt's all what we get used to. I lived in the Arctic for five years and only remember being cold once.
DeleteWoah, you're still in the land of winter! :) But the robin is a good sign.
ReplyDeleteWe have quite few spring migrants back...blue birds, ducks, geese crows sea gulls. So it's not all bad.
DeleteYour spring and summer must be really intense...once they arrive, heh heh.
ReplyDeleteOnce they arrive they all the more appreciated.
ReplyDeleteSnow and rain and WIND are predicted here for tomorrow! It will stay until Monday night, then we will warm up again. The last two days here it has been in the 80's* A tad bit warm for this time of the year.
ReplyDeleteI'll be glad when the weather settles.

Yes, 80 is a "tad" bit warm. It really dries things out.
ReplyDeleteHey Red, you really do have more snow then here in Edmonton. Well, we are gonna have some rain/snow here sometime this weekend. Take care and stay warm.
ReplyDeleteThere's no way I could start cleaning up any garden.
ReplyDeleteIf it makes you feel any better, our 26C temperatures of last week are now down to seasonal highs of 3C. For our Amurikan friends.. that's 79F last week to 38F this week.
ReplyDeleteTo be truthful. I don't get too excited about weather. I'v spent too much time outdoors in the weather.
DeleteJust discovered your blog post via Horst ... Happy spring, once it arrives :) Love, cat. (http://catsruledogsdroole.blogspot.com/)
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping to Hiawatha House. I always like to see Alberta blogs because they are fairly scarce.
DeleteI just finished emceeing an event and was asked to come emcee an event up in Saskatchewan in a couple of weeks. I can't even say that! We'll be testing so I had to decline, but I think I'd love to see a little bit of Canada! Thanks to your blog I get to visit a little!
ReplyDeleteWe don't have snow, but we don't have blooms, either!
ReplyDeleteRabbits lopped off the crocus. sigh
Everyhting slowed down as we got cold again!
My Happy Birthday Boys!
I do know how to spell development. See! I also know how to print 11. Where the two ii's came from I don't know?
DeleteHere it's the deer that do the tulips in. Last night about 8:30 I saw ii mule deer in a neighbor's yard. Cool weather will slow plant devlopement
ReplyDeleteI have an inkling once it all melts nobody will even know you were a little behind,
ReplyDeleteSpring might be a bit slow on your doors but I know it will come...it always does, right? ;-)
You're right spring comes...it happens. You might as well be patient as you can't hurry it.
ReplyDeleteWe've had robins for awhile. We have a bit of grass that may need cutting soon!
ReplyDeleteMind you, the der are doing their best.
We are desperate for water. April showers are not here.
