Continuing with the birthday...
My daughter buys the coolest cards you can find. Your card might arrive very late but the card will arrive.
So my birthday card today has on the front:
Birthdays always remind me of the giant redwoods
on the West Coast. The way they stand tall
and proud , year after year, century after century.
Their majestic beauty never fails to
take my breath away.
Inside the card:
Thank you for planting them!
I had a good chuckle about this one. I hope you enjoy it.
so do you have somebody who sends you really cool cards?
Ha ha .... like what is written inside the card.
ReplyDeleteHa! That's a great punchline.
ReplyDeleteI like sending cool cards and receiving them....
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!
Cheri
You are lucky. It's years since I had a card.
ReplyDeleteNow that is a great card! :)
ReplyDeleteA great text indeed.
ReplyDeleteI like that card - and Happy Birthday Red. I have a friend that gets me the neatest, funniest cards and love it.
ReplyDeleteOh, that is a good one! My sister and my daughter usually send cards that make me laugh...and make my day!
ReplyDeleteOnce upon a time I did, but he's been gone for a long time. I still have all those cards. :-)
ReplyDeleteMy daughter always gives me a touching, emotional one. My boys, not so much! They are on the environmental kick. Saving paper... one phones, at least, the other, Not even that!
ReplyDeleteAWW That is a sweet card! I am terrible at sending cards and I don't really receive cards.
ReplyDeleteso very funny! :)
ReplyDeleteExcellent card. We usually send hunting-related theme cards to our brother-in-law because he is, wacky cards to our son because he definitely is, and cat cards to each other because of all the cats we've had over the years.
ReplyDeleteI do...sometimes...but really cool cards are wonderful! Hapy Birthday!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! I like the card you described!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Red.
ReplyDeleteI wish you would put it up on your site so I can see it.
I bet it is a real keeper for oyu.
Cards are so hard to throw away and the accumulate after so many years. Bow-a-days Mrs. C. and I find beautiful cards for each other while in the store. We give them to each other, kiss, and put them back on the shelf.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great card! My husband and I exchange really cool cards with each other every holiday. I've kept them all!
ReplyDeleteI am fortunate in that I seem to have a lot of friends with wonderful imaginations when it comes to cards.
