A week ago today I posted about a snowfall we had overnight. Waking up Sunday morning we found a brilliant white world.
Today all the snow is gone and we had a high of 18 C (68 F). All last Sundays snow has disappeared. It's a big difference. Here we have roughly the same two photos 7 days apart.
The last time I was in Canada I left 26" of snow and blisteringly cold temperatures. By the time I had got back to Scotland and phoned to say that I had arrived safely the snow had melted, there were minor floods and the temperature had soared. Weather here may be unpredictable but we don't get those extremes: well just the occasional hurricane.
We had an inch a few days ago. An old wive' s tale says you have a snow squall before Easter. Hope that was our last. We had 70 degrees today so things look good.
Remarkable change in weather.
ReplyDeleteWe get big changes here as we are in chinook country.
