I've Got Flowers
I've been watching posts of flowers for months now. My flowers have finally come into bloom. Now I know you've seen these flowers before. I know you know what they look like. But I just wanted to show you that it finally happened here. We are late but at this time of the year we have long days so plants advance rapidly.
hooray for your spring!!!
ReplyDeleteIt comes fast with the long daylight.
DeleteVery showy flowers they are too.
ReplyDeleteShowy and don't last very long!
DeleteThose irises (iri?) are amazing! Our lilies have yet to make an appearance.
ReplyDeleteOh you are crafty when you sneak in iri! Good one!
DeleteAlways a joy when the flowers start blooming at last.
ReplyDeleteI've had some early perennials and some will be later. but these are the showy ones.
DeleteThey are beautiful! We had a hot, dry May, but June is wet and cold.
ReplyDeleteWe need some rain .
DeleteLovely and I never get tired of seeing flowers!
ReplyDeleteall I got is the flowers nobody likes in my yard
ReplyDeleteWell , you'll have to do some trades with neighbors. If you lived beside me I could give you all three of these.
DeleteThose iris are really beautiful, Red. So I've seen them before, that doesn't mean I don't appreciate them every bit as much today! :-)
ReplyDeleteI had yellow iris that died out on me and I miss them.
DeleteAbout time , they are all very nice. I am a iris fan.
ReplyDeleteThere are many, many types of iris.
DeleteYour Iris are beautiful! :)
ReplyDeleteThankyou. I wish I hadn't lost the yellow iris I had.
DeleteBy all means you have flowers. I'm personally partial to day lilies. I never planted many iris because I didn't like dealing with their foliage the rest of the year. They are beautiful however.
ReplyDeletebeautiful! Looks like you are catching up quickly.
ReplyDeleteWe do catch up but our season is short.
DeleteGorgeous flowers. Irises are my favorite.
ReplyDeleteThee are many varieties of iris to chose from.
DeleteYes your spring comes far later than ours. I love that iris. I got mine at a cemetery. I keep replanting parts of it everywhere so I won't ever loose the variety. My parents who lived in southern Iowa were usually three weeks earlier than where I live.
ReplyDeleteGood plan. I should plant some of mine in a different area.
DeleteLovely Flowers Red. I too never tire of flowers. You do have a green thumb.
ReplyDeleteI do like gardening but mostly vegetables.
DeleteSome men like to grow vegetables and other men like to grow flowers. I am a vegetable man myself. I guess we are all different... "If you go to Red Deer City - Be sure to wear some flowers in your hair."
ReplyDeleteNow I inherited the flowers. My first priority is the vegetable garden. My vegetable plants have just started to come up.
DeleteWhen things start blooming they go fast. I think you are ahead of us. Here, regular peonies are not in bloom yet. Perhaps it is because you are more north and days are consequently longer than here.
ReplyDeleteI live at Red Deer Alberta so that gives you an idea of how far north we are.
DeleteHi Red, Glad you posted the flower pictures. I never get tired of flower pictures. Of course, you already knew that since I post them so often. Keep us posted on the vegetable garden too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colours- that purple especially.
ReplyDeleteNow that you have shown us your flowers, Red, we will be looking forward to seeing the vegetable garden as you said you are a :veggie: guy.
ReplyDeleteAnd they are beautiful flowers! Too bad our gardening season is so short. But better than nothing :)
ReplyDeleteHave you really grown these beautiful irises and lilies? Glorious.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your beautiful flowers. I find the north country has such a short growing season but everything grows super fast once it does. I know you are not exactly north but you are north of me ;-)
ReplyDeleteSuch gorgeous flowers! Your peonies are strikingly beautiful. I love that shade of pink. Your iris is doing really well too. Obviously, you have a green thumb for flowers.
