As I was waiting the other day after taking photos of the museum I noticed a condo across the parking lot. This condo looked attractive from a distance. when I got closer to the condo I could see why it was attractive. Almost all suits had attractive flowers on the balcony.
Too often condos have an industrial look as they are plane flat cement walls. No effort was made for decoration.
This small condo is owned by seniors so I suppose they got together to make their building look attractive.
My next challenge was to find a decent angle to get the photo.
I wonder why the word condominium is abbreviated to condo and not condom? It would be so cool to say "I live in a condom". Folk might ask "Is it ribbed?"
ReplyDeleteMaybe condom is part of another word???
DeleteThe building does indeed look more attractive with the beautiful blooms on the patios.
ReplyDeleteIt caught my eye from across the block.
DeleteGood job finding an angle to show the pretty flowers on the condo patios. :-)
ReplyDeleteIt looked better than my photo.
DeleteLots of green thumbs!!!!
ReplyDeleteGreen thumbs and a few bucks to buy plants.
DeleteWell that looks as attractive a condo as you'll find in most cities.
ReplyDeletewe don't have large sprawling condos.
DeleteI like the idea of living in pretty condos like the one in your photographs. No yard work or exterior maintenance, but I have a hard time following rules.
ReplyDeleteNo rebels or individualists in condos!
DeleteFlowers make anything look better!
ReplyDeleteYes, these people did a good job with color choice.
Deletelooks homey
ReplyDeleteYes, some condos look very drab.
DeleteIt is indeed a nice looking building. I've seen a lot of similar ones over the years. They are quite popular, it seems.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the condo board is responsible for coordinating the balcony plants?
DeleteFlowers do spruce things up!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like somebody cares.
DeleteA pot of flowers can make a big difference. This looks like a nice place to live.
ReplyDeleteThis one caught my eye from across the block.
DeleteWe have one close to our Senior building like your showing Red. The Condo. They are a arm and a leg pricy. The other month we had a False Fire Drill. To keep people on there toes.
ReplyDeleteEach building had the fire chief call a meeting for all tenants. Plus them also the Condo.
What do you think was the worse complaint Fire Chief said. If a real fire occurred. If there was a real fire and you were unable to walk the stairs. Where would you have to go. On Your Balconies. Yes you can enjoy flowers there but not a dozen plants. Why? How would the firemen get you off the balcony . When he has plant leaves up his nose, face; high flowers or too many chairs in the way. They need room to get over the balcony. Flowers they look pretty. So Red if you ever know a Firemen or walk or drive to a Fire Station to be on the know it all. Ask them. Is it true what I just told you. We have some people water there plants and the water drips down on the balcony below. How is that for an unexpected dripping shower. Most people think one has to drown the plants water.
Flowers make everything look better and does a great job with this condominium. Nice shots Red.
ReplyDeletei was not familiar with term so looked for it .
ReplyDeletewe don't have here such place where people own stuff or place jointly .
i think you captured it beautifully as it looks appealing!
If I ever have to live in a condo I would have a balcony full of plants, a bird feeder, anything to bring nature to me. I love what these green thumb owners have done and I'm sure it brings them lots of pleasure to tend them and sit and enjoy them.
ReplyDeleteBalconies with flowers on them, is always a great thing.
