We just had a couple of days of snow where we got about 12 cm of snow. That's a lot of snow for us at one time . I know other places get much heavier snow falls.
It kept me busy shoveling snow a couple of times. However the snow was light , dry and powdery which makes it easy to shovel.
The snow gives us a very clean fresh look so why not a few photos.
This photo is for Far Side. She wants people to set up snow sticks so here's my feeble effort at a snow stick. Can you see it? I have 14 in. (35 cm) of snow.
Right now our Interstate highway is closed in the mountain pass from the latest snow storm and multiple spin outs.
ReplyDeleteHere in the lowlands we have had snow off and on and are tired of it. At least our snow melts away quickly. Your snow is lovely though.
I think we're all getting over anxious about spring coming.
DeleteWow! That is a whole lot of snow. Gorgeous photos!
ReplyDeleteThanks. It was enough to cover up the dirty snow.
DeleteHmmm... That brings back memories.
DeleteThat is a lot of snow. All the snow that fell over the week has melted here and today and yesterday the sun came out. I like the sunshine I see on your snow.
ReplyDeleteInteresting things to photograph with bright snow and shadows.
DeleteThat is a pretty amount of snow you had!
ReplyDelete...and I don't think we're finished yet.
Deleteold man winter still reigns around you.
ReplyDeleteIt's not time to get antsy about spring yet.
DeleteYou don't have to do everything that The Micro Manager tells you to do. Why wasn't she shovelling the snow?
ReplyDeleteI commanded that the Micro manager not go out and shovel snow. she gets in the way!
DeleteThe bright sun on the white snow sure is pretty, Red. You are right about that. :-)
ReplyDeleteYa have to wear shades with this snow.
DeleteOh dear. That's too much for me.
ReplyDeleteAlthough this was instructive - I should really take another stab at learning the metric system!
Yes, learn the metric system and then I don't have to go back and look up the English system!
DeleteThat snow shoveling builds character, doesn't it?! Lovely photos. Take it easy!
ReplyDeleteThe character thing wouldn't get me enthusiastic about shoveling? I guess I'm short on character. The new snow was very bright so don't forget the shades.
DeleteTerrific shots! That's my kind of weather.
ReplyDeleteI've not been able to ski for a few weeks so I could enjoy the snow.
DeleteThat's a good snowfall! I love that third shot - the snow looks like a gigantic marshmallow on top of the tank.
ReplyDeleteAll your photos show the beauty of snow very well. It makes everything bright, at least for awhile.
The snow on top of the barrel could be sliced to show the various snow layers.
DeleteI guess you got some snow. It does make everything look better though.
ReplyDeleteYes, it covers up the dirty snow.
DeleteGood grief, and I thought WE had it bad. I'll stop complaining now!
ReplyDeleteYour snow goes away but this stays and I don't mind that.
DeleteMy grandboys in Minnesota are on their second snow day in a row -- another 4 day weekend. They are happy but they won't be come June and they are in school making them up. Your snow looks so pretty and fresh, and what a good opportunity for some exercise!
ReplyDelete12 cm. Yup, that's quite a bit of snow! It does look a lot like winter where you are but March is here, so things should start looking better. Hopefully!
ReplyDelete14 inches!! You got more than us, I like your snow stick...looks like your snow came straight down:)
ReplyDeletesnow is nature's bad cold mood though but makes view so fascinating
ReplyDeleteHi Red, I like all the snow with the clear blue sky. I am curious about how long it will be before it's all melted.
