Well, it's that time of year for me when skating is finished. Last Thursday afternoon was the last skate for this year.
I have a few photos on skating over the last few years.
Now just in case you think I have winter outside now , here are some photos from Sat April 28. These are from our bird watching Sat mornings. I stole all of these from Lynette.
I love the pictures of everyone! You all look like you are having a lot of fun. Maybe you can get your bicycle out until you can skate again. The nature pictures are beautiful as well!
ReplyDeleteWhen I do group photos I first ask them for a silly photo. They loosen up after that. I've been riding .
DeleteLovely to see such active seniors. They put to shame. I love the bird photos but cannot enlarge the first one. Are those storks?
ReplyDeleteWe have fun!
DeleteOh How beautiful and PRECIOUS smiling faces dear Red!!!
ReplyDeleteI truly am thankful for these cheerful photos that evoke life within me :)
Loved the bird pics !
you are wonderful stealer i must say :)
We do have fun in this group. Usually there are more of us.
DeleteI have the greatest admiration for you skating exploits. It was a skill that I never really mastered.
ReplyDeleteYou really didn't have much of an opportunity as you probably didn't have the artificial ice.
DeleteAre there any skating pictures of you after you have fallen on your ass? It's great that older people still enjoy skating in Red Deer - good exercise and socially enriching too.
ReplyDeleteI fall on my ass so fast that they can't get a photo! We do have fun and there are some amazing people who enjoy skating.
DeleteYes, winter is moving away and nature starts to come to life again.
ReplyDeleteHi Red, Just out of curiosity, does the skating rink close during the summer? Or, is it just that the Senior Group doesn’t get together for a skate? Enjoyed the photos. Tell Lynette thanks for the pics from the birding outing. That last bird photo is excellent.
ReplyDeleteSkating is something my husband and I have talked about taking up again. Haven't done it in years!
ReplyDeleteNow it's time to start spending time outdoors!
It's nice to see nature alive and well
ReplyDeleteOh, good! I'm glad to see it's warmed up there! No more snow!
ReplyDeleteOur outdoor city hall rink stayed open quite awhile, but must have wrapped up earlier in April. I imagine the indoor rinks might well stay open.
ReplyDeleteI love the chickadee photo! Our ice came out of the local rinks recently as well.
ReplyDeleteNice to have a smooth indoor rink like that and friends to enjoy it with. Goodbye winter 2018!
ReplyDeleteYour winter is finally over too!
ReplyDeleteNice to see your skating friends, Red. And I figured that by May even your part of the world might be thawing out, too. Nice pictures you shared! :-)
ReplyDeleteHey Red! I'm glad spring has sprung for you there. We're still stuck in last summer here. It seems to always be mild now. Hey but the weather isn't really changing...
ReplyDeleteWhere is your snow? :)
ReplyDeleteHard to give up that cold weather sport, but nice to see the cold weather leave. Great bird shots
ReplyDeleteHappy Spring, Red! I wish I could skate. I did try, but I just couldn't balance. You are so lucky.
ReplyDeleteEndings and then beginnings!
