SKATING IS OVER

Well, it's that time of year for me when skating is finished.  Last Thursday  afternoon was the last skate for this year.

I have a few photos on skating over the last few years.

Now just in case you think I have winter outside now , here are some photos from Sat April 28. These are from our bird watching Sat mornings. I stole all of these from Lynette.

  1. I love the pictures of everyone! You all look like you are having a lot of fun. Maybe you can get your bicycle out until you can skate again. The nature pictures are beautiful as well!

    1. When I do group photos I first ask them for a silly photo. They loosen up after that. I've been riding .

    1. You really didn't have much of an opportunity as you probably didn't have the artificial ice.

  5. Are there any skating pictures of you after you have fallen on your ass? It's great that older people still enjoy skating in Red Deer - good exercise and socially enriching too.

  7. Hi Red, Just out of curiosity, does the skating rink close during the summer? Or, is it just that the Senior Group doesn’t get together for a skate? Enjoyed the photos. Tell Lynette thanks for the pics from the birding outing. That last bird photo is excellent.

Now it's time to start spending time outdoors!

  11. Our outdoor city hall rink stayed open quite awhile, but must have wrapped up earlier in April. I imagine the indoor rinks might well stay open.

  12. I love the chickadee photo! Our ice came out of the local rinks recently as well.

  16. Hey Red! I'm glad spring has sprung for you there. We're still stuck in last summer here. It seems to always be mild now. Hey but the weather isn't really changing...
