There are some interesting blog locations. People can post cloud photos in one area. Skies! Signs. the list goes on. I've never participated in one of these locations. I haven't stopped to find out how they work. I do have a sign I like. I'm not sure how old this sign is but it was here in 1969 when I moved here. Alpha is a plant that produces condensed milk.
I haven’t had condensed milk in a long time but it was a staple in our kitchen when I was young. I used to see it used in many recipes also. Great photo Red.
one day that sign will be torn down and your photo will be historically significant. There are so many things around Sydney that have changed and I wished I had photos......
Hello, I like this sign on the chimney. There is a pretty sky behind the sign too. Great photo. There are plenty of blog memes, I like the Skywatch and Our World. Of course my Saturday's Critters is my favorite. Happy Tuesday, enjoy your day!
Thanks. Check out the face book page for Red Deer River Naturalists. This is a face book page for our group. Join and you'll see the activity in this area.
It is good you have taken that picture. Like Kylie said, one day that sign will be gone and you will be happy to have this memory. There are many places around where I live that I now wish I would have taken pictures of long ago because they have changed so now.
I'm not sure who makes our condensed milk; I'll check at the grocery store next time I'm there. I don't use it myself but it is in a lot of recipes for desserts that I've eaten made by other people. I will report back :)
Hi Red, Had to smile about this one. Maybe you should start a section in Hiawatha House and call it SIGNS. This is funny: Back on January 18, 2013, I posted on my blog and the title was SIGNS JOHN LIKES [and more]
I like your photo.
ReplyDeleteThanks.

ReplyDeleteYou're right about condensed milk. When I was in the Arctic we had a lot of it in our rations.

ReplyDeleteThis one is well know and there are many photos of it.

DeleteThat's a very unusual sign, Red. Thanks for sharing. :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's up a huge chimney.
DeleteThe letter font feels quite old fashioned.
ReplyDeleteWell it is old and maybe the neon has something to do with it.

ReplyDeleteI really want to go back and get a better photo. I should get one at night too.
DeleteI saw a cement truck whose company name was Alpha Omega Transportation and liked it as well.
ReplyDeleteI wonder of the guy knew what it meant when he gave his company the name.
DeleteThat certainly goes way back!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure how long it was there before I came here.
DeleteThey've been around for a long time. And will hopefully be around for a long time to come.
ReplyDeleteAre their products sold in the maritimes?

I think it's about time for another one of those posts. I do like the ALPHA sign!
I will have to check this out as I wasn't following you at that time.
ReplyDeleteCool sign! :)
ReplyDeleteGosh. So you can still get condensed milk.
ReplyDeleteThe chimney looks like it belongs to an alpha male.
ReplyDeleteLove it! I would definitely photograph that building, too!
ReplyDeleteI'm fascinated with signs! They can be funny and fun, or grim!
