HITS AND MISSES

Sometimes I am guilty of leaving out information. Sometimes questions are asked and it's better to answer them on a post rather than with a comment.

So here goes. In the fall I told you I was having an ultra sound of

my heart. I wasn't worried about results. Now I can't even remember why the ultra sound was done. Some of you wanted to know what the results would be and I promised I would tell you. I've been feeling guilty for a long time about not telling you. Now you're saying come on get with it. Tell us! Well, nothing was found. I still haven't talked to my doc about it but I will the next time I go in to see him.

Now in my second hiking post I forgot to put in the name of the location. We called it Whirl Pool Point Ridge. This is not a name you would find on a map. It's a name we made up.  Where we stop on the highway the river at that point is called Whirl Pool Point. It's a mess of rumbling rapids.

The highway is number 11 or otherwise called the David Thompson. There is parking at that point in the highway and very often a little herd of Big horn sheep can be found. They come off the ridge to get water from the river.

I also found that a stray photo got into one post. I know how that happened. I also found some typos.

So I feel better that I've addressed some of my hits and misses.

Some of the mountains at Field B.C. in late June.

  6. Are big horn sheep native animals or were they introduced by Europeans?

  7. Hello, I am glad you had good news from your test. The whirlpool rapids sounds nice, my hubby likes to sit in the local river rapids he says it feels like a massage. Enjoy your day!

    1. I don't think I'd want to see him in these rapids. They are huge and the water is ice cold.

    1. The next time I see the doc we will talk briefly about it. I usually only get to a Doctor once a year.

  10. It's hard to get all the pertinent information into a post, isn't it? I miss stuff all the time.

    1. Terrific scenery around Field B.C. The gas is expensive too.

  13. As kids we often named the fields and farms using the vocabulary from Tarzan comic books. It gave a certain strength to returning and finding our passion for that area.

  14. Glad your heart is working fine. If it was serious, the doctor would have contacted you as soon as he known. No issues is great news. I forget to put info in a post too. Nothing to worry about. :)

  15. I've just read back to your post about hiking days. Gosh! You did so much! Just looking at those pictures gives me chills. and that bridge! Also enjoyed reading about your playing outside in the cold and snow when you were a child. And to think how a little freezing weather bothers me. I need to toughen up! This has been a rough winter for lots of folks. We've had it pretty easy here.

  17. Was it your aorta? I had to get some kind of ultrasound last year because I'm over 65 and a former smoker. Apparently something bad can happen, so they want to check you out.

  18. Thank you Red, I am happy to hear your test went well. This was a very interesting post. As for typo's, I can read through my posts very carefully and still overlook them. If I find them in the rereading I fix those I find.

  19. Good news about the heart checkup, Red, so now we can stop wondering how the test went, although truthfully I had forgotten that you planned to let us know. Typos always manage to get into my blog posts and blog comments despite my best intentions.
