You were centainly a handsome guy. It is fun to see those old photo's suddenly on a screen, makes them so more lively than the small ones we were used to.
Hey, that technique of photographing the projected image is working pretty well! You could change the date stamp on your camera to match the date of the image. :)
Wow! You look terrific! This process worked so well and you get to take the time to enjoy all of these slides. What fun memories it will bring back to you! That is a get way to spend your time. I will have to let my brother-in-law know about this as he has a huge collection of slides...
Wow, that slide came out great. It's nice to see the result of your process. It's going to be a long process to get all the slides down but it will be fun.
Hey! Hey! DJan could you give me the name of Pete's blog. I know it's been taken down. Also could you give me the year he died. I have a post I have to do about Pete. It will be fun.
The ones I scanned were definitely brand dependent when it came to the quality after all these years. Some faded out quite badly compared to others. I wish I had written it down but I didn't so I couldn't tell you which brands held up the best. Hopefully you will find some that are in decent shape.
I have a blogger friend in England that scans his negatives. I suppose that is similar. I keep thinking I need to try it but have not. 50 years ago hey.

That slide came out very well! Is this one where you projected it on the wall and took a picture? You are a handsome young kid there!
ReplyDeletethat's exactly how I did it.
DeleteYou were centainly a handsome guy. It is fun to see those old photo's suddenly on a screen, makes them so more lively than the small ones we were used to.
ReplyDeleteWell, thankyou. I haven't looked at these for at least 40 years.
DeleteHello, Red
ReplyDeleteIt is a great photo of you! Take care, have a happy day and a great new week!
It pays to be young!
DeleteI doubted your process, but it turned out well.
ReplyDeleteYou can't do much tweaking. I was disappointed with the quality of slides. Many were dark. We didn't know much about photography and it shows.
DeleteThis is such a great slide image. I'm so looking forward to more images. What a fun project.
ReplyDeleteIt's fun but it's an incredible amount of work.
DeleteHey, that technique of photographing the projected image is working pretty well! You could change the date stamp on your camera to match the date of the image. :)
ReplyDeleteI never thought about dates. I guess it's another thing I could learn. Another thing I have to learn is to store them on icloud.
DeleteA very friendly face if I may say so. The sort of face that says 'trust me' immediately.
ReplyDeleteWell, thankyou. In teaching I found a friendly face went a long way.

ReplyDeleteThanks. We had completely forgotten that we had slides from that time.

ReplyDeleteIt will be a lot of work.
DeleteWho is that handsome man? :-)
ReplyDeleteHey! Hey! DJan could you give me the name of Pete's blog. I know it's been taken down. Also could you give me the year he died. I have a post I have to do about Pete. It will be fun.
DeleteSuch a handsome dude!
ReplyDeleteWell, of course. Thankyou
DeleteA good one!
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteMuch better than I expected. I would however suggest that you remove the date and time stamp so not to confuse future people looking at them.
ReplyDeleteI have put dates in the labels but yes good idea to get rid of the dates. I was disappointed at the quality of the original slides.

DeleteWe’ve saved old slides too. They are always a nice surprise. This is a great one!
ReplyDeleteWe'd forgotten that we had slides of the kids . we found about 15 packages of slides that we didn't know we had.
DeleteAren't you a handsome young fella!
ReplyDeleteWell, of course, but things have gone down hill since then.
DeleteA trip down memory lane, for sure.
ReplyDeleteThe big surprise was that we didn't know we had those slides.
DeleteYou look as if you're waiting for someone to pull up a chair and chat!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like your method of reproducing your slides is working out well. The color has held up better in your old slides than mine.
ReplyDeleteI have a blogger friend in England that scans his negatives. I suppose that is similar. I keep thinking I need to try it but have not. 50 years ago hey.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that fun!
ReplyDeleteWow! Your slide is in really good condition or you were a better photographer than we were. And yes, a truly handsome dude!
