I was wondering if it was a larger problem. I've had that the last couple of days where if I refresh the screen, it goes to a blank page. I've exited the Chrome page and have restarted it, and that has gotten me back into my reading list.
Try restarting your computer. If that doesn't work, try clearing your browser cookies and your cache and restart again. (In Chrome, click on "Chrome" in the top navigation bar and then "clear browsing data" in the drop-down menu.)
Turn off your computer and shut off all power to the computer and the modem and let it sit for a while. Then start everything back up and see if that works. We recently had to do that.
I too am thinking that shutting the computer off, waiting for 30 seconds minimum, and restarting would be the first step. And trying a different browser might help. I have found Firefox to work well with all different sites. You could try clearing your history too. Good luck; it's terribly frustrating when something that has worked for a long time suddenly stops, for no apparent reason.
I am sure that there are computer troubleshooting guys in Red Deer who could, at a fee, come out to solve the problem and perhaps service your computer too. Ask around friends and neighbours. You will probably find that somebody can recommend a technician.
I'm a little late getting here so I'm going to assume you've got it worked out. Ahhhh ... the "joys" of the blogosphere. If it's not one thing, it's another.
It seems that it is a larger problem. Complaints are being made at Blogger help. I'm able to get my reading list going by the method I noted. In the meantime, some suggestions: click on the name of the person in their answer and their blog should appear. Manually enter the title of a given blog, such as your own or mine, and a google list should quickly show you the one you're interested in. And lastly, many blogs, though not mine, have a sidebar feature with a list of blogs that person follows and images of their latest post.
I just read all the previous comments and the majority seem to go with rebooting and/or using a different browser. Hope that one or both of these suggestions will work for you, Red. I have never encountered this issue myself. I read blogs by going to a sidebar on my own blog.

ReplyDeleteYou could try a different browser.
ReplyDeleteOr you could read in the Feedly app although you have to input the addresses once. Feedly is just an extension to the browser.
I would try another web browser after you reboot your computer. Perhaps a file got corrupted.

ReplyDeleteI use The Old Reader it is free and you can read 100 favorite blogs there. Hope you find a solution!
ReplyDeleteI had that happen to me as well! I rebooted my computer and that seemed to work. Blogger seems to be getting a lot of glitches lately.
ReplyDeleteI also would try another web browser and reboot.

ReplyDeleteSounds like you've picked up some malware. No suggestions. I'm computer dumb.

Totally understand. I'm not able to visit much these days either because I'm working on those photobooks of all our photos for the kids right now.
ReplyDeleteSorry, I have not had any blogger issues. Do you use Chrome?
ReplyDeleteHave a great day and a happy weekend!
