Last evening and night we had thunderstorms roll through for about 8 hours. The storms went by about every hour. There was lots of thunder and lightning. The rolls of thunder seemed to go on for minute.
Before the storms there were lots of clouds that built up in the evening.
I like to see cumulus clouds build up and have the sun light on them. I can imagine the tremendous updrafts in those cells.
So here's some of the clouds I enjoyed.
Those cloud photos are impressive. Nice captures! Do I see a horse in that last picture?
ReplyDeleteI've looked for your horse but I couldn't find it.
Deletein the lower center of the photo...a statue of some sort.
DeleteLook at the last picture. Near the middle at the bottom. Not in the clouds but at the bottom of the picture. Do you see it?
DeleteWow, those clouds are beautiful. Take care, enjoy your day and have a happy new week!
ReplyDeleteI always think of the energy that must be in those clouds.
DeleteBeautiful clouds there. I'm so glad you photographed them.
ReplyDeleteA couple times summer we get an evening of expanding cumulus clouds.
DeleteI like those cloud photos, Red. They are so full and fluffy looking!
ReplyDeleteAnd yet there are fierce updrafts in them.
DeleteIt's so nice to see (or read about) storms and moisture in the air. We're seeing none of that in the UK!
ReplyDeleteI have always loved clouds. These are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI like to look of these clouds but I know it's very windy up there.
DeleteI love beautiful big fluffy clouds like those. Now the thunderstorms I can do without...but I do appreciate the rain.
ReplyDeleteI also like thunder and lightning.
DeleteThey are gorgeous, and you did a good job getting them captured for posterity. :-)
ReplyDeleteThankyou. When I see clouds like this I run for my camera.
DeleteQuite the beauties!
ReplyDeleteFrom this distance they are beautiful but if you got near them there's lots of violent wind.
DeleteWhen those clouds roll in, you know what's coming next. But, they are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYes, we had about 4 separate thunderstorms.
DeleteGorgeous dramatic clouds!
ReplyDeleteI always look at clouds like that and remember being a child and thinking it completely possible that if I was that high, I could actually lie down in those clouds as if they were fluffy mattresses. 65, and I still remember believing that, and wishing that I could do it.
ReplyDeleteYour photos remind me: I once worked for a client who lived on about the 16th floor, overlooking Sydney harbour and across the suburbs. I watched a storm roll right across the city through their windows. It was one very good reason to live in a high apartment
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful, Red. I love looking out at the clouds feeling so free.
