Today we had one of those bright warm sunny fall days. We had a high of 20 C. I was lucky enough to be out for two hours this afternoon. I went to this area last fall but a little earlier before the leaves dropped. I was surprised at how much was left to photograph and that there were still awesome colors.
So here goes.
Some colour does linger. But 20 degrees. Good for Alberta.
ReplyDeleteSome of the different bark gave some good color.
DeleteThe light was just perfect - so clear. I call days like that diamond days. They are so precious.
ReplyDeleteIt's clear but a little bright for some photos.
DeletePretty fall day indeed, love the duck! Take care, have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteI have to check what species that duck is.
DeleteIf only trees could have the ability (or maybe they have?) to know just how much we appreciate them; to realise how much pleasure we get from the way they 'advertise' every season. You are lucky to live in such beautiful countryside. The next time you are anywhere near the Athabasca Glacier I would appreciate a few photographs please.
ReplyDeleteThey think that trees do communicate with each other. I will probably not see the Athabasca glacier again.
DeleteIt looks peaceful and inviting.
ReplyDeleteIt's an excellent area to go to in the fall.
DeleteGood Monday morning Red. I clicked to see the larger images and looked at each one slowly. Love the photos! Hope you will do this kind of thing more often. It sure looks like it won’t be too long until the snow flies in Red Deer. Have a great day! John
ReplyDeleteThere's a lot to see in photos if we look carefully.
DeleteIt's lovely to see the fall colors happening there. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThe leaves are mostly gone so it's the various bark colors that add to the scene.
DeleteThe blue sky looks nice to see as it is cloudy here today. It's good to get out when the weather is nice before your cold weather moves in.
ReplyDeleteI'm used to clear blue skies so I didn't really notice the brightness.
DeleteLovely fall photos!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fine fall day with sun. The duck is enjoying a swim by itself.
ReplyDeleteWe are worried about our duck populations.
DeleteAh it makes me remember my trips to Canada as a kid.
ReplyDeleteInteresting how there was so much going back and forth across the border at that time.
DeleteTerrific shots!
ReplyDeleteThe most awesome color is that blue sky. We are cloudy and rainy.
ReplyDeleteQuite a few people have remarked about the clear blue sky. I'm fortunate.
DeleteLooks like your Tamaracs are turning. Nice Fall photos Red!
ReplyDeleteThese are planted Tamaracs. Native tamaracs are further west toward the mountains.
ReplyDeleteMesmerizing shots!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteglory of the fall must be in the air :)
thanks for making us part of it
Wow! You lost your leaves early. Chicago trees still had their leaves when we left and my daughter tells me they're at their peak colors right now.
