I PUT MY SNOW SHOVEL AWAY

Yesterday, I put my snow shovel away for the summer.

What does it do today? You guessed it. It is snowing. There won' be any snow shoveling as the snow melts when it hits the ground.

  1. I put my shovel away yesterday as well! My thinking was the same and not the first time! But also with the knowledge that it won’t last! Hopefully!😁

  2. Of course it snowed because you put your snow shovel away, right?

    1. I seem to have too much power on the weather in a negative way.

  3. Seriously? It’s May tomorrow. Does Canada get snow often in May? I can’t remember getting snow in May in Chicago, but yes, in April, there were a few freak snowfalls.

    1. We do get snow in May but not often. We also get snow in June just the odd time.

  4. I will put mine away today, I didn’t use it this winter. I had a snow shoveler on retainer and he only needed to shovel once, about two inches. A very expensive winter but hey ho, no snow. Global warming. Gigi

  8. We are all singing from the same hymn sheet Red - take of your vest and the temperature drops ten degrees next day, put the weed killer away thinking you've won - the dreaded Mares Tail pops up between the paving next day. Ir's called the changing of the seasons.

  9. So they can blame you for that snow, Red! We just keep our shovels in the garage all year! :)

  11. May begins as April ends although that was April in your case.

  13. Yes, it snowed after my son in law carried all my snow removal stuff away from the front door...but like you said this time of year it melts...usually!

  14. Well, at least there will be no shoveling -- so you still win!

  15. I cannot believe that you broadcast this out into the great wide world, Red. Now EVERYONE knows who is responsible for this weather: that darn Red, who put away his snowshovel!

  16. I do hope you didn't jinx it! Whatever happens, spring is definitely coming to everyone in the Northern Hemisphere! :-)

  17. Shame you didn't post a picture of your snow shovel Red. Some men have small shovels, some have medium-sized shovels but I bet you have got a great big one with "PROPERTY OF RED" painted down the side.

    1. Well, I have a small shovel. I can move faster with a small shovel. I don't have my name on the shovel but it's bright red.

  19. Now that you have posted this, everyone will know who's responsible for the snow in May ~ Red, who dared to put his snowshovel away AND say so out loud!!!

  20. I certainly hope there's no snow when we go to Illinois next week, BUT then I can't recall ever getting snow in May when we lived there.
