I have mentioned a series of radio programs that deal with the elderly. I've found them interesting and informative.
They are on CBC ,the Canadian broadcasting corporation. The program is the current. The next issue is Monday morning.
Heads up. the next program is on gray divorce . Divorce rates have gone down in every age group in Canada except seniors.
I will be listening.
As an aside 90% of divorce over 80 is caused by obsession compulsion. 90% of senior murders are a result of obsessive compulsion.
Gray Divorce. I think it takes energy. Who has that?
ReplyDeleteReminds me of Joe's relative. Lived on the farm all her life. Got fed up. She moved into Chesterville at such an age, and rented an apartment, sending the bill to her husband!
DeleteWell, I had to look up obsession compulsion as I wasn't sure exactly what the definition was. I got divorced after 33 years of marriage because my husband was an alcoholic and my children were grown so I didn't need to put up with him anymore.

That is an interesting statistic about seniors and divorce!

I had no idea that divorce can be between over 60 years old people.in my opinion the longer people live together the deeper their relationship becomes.
ReplyDeleteI just checked on the definition of cause and google says it’s some kind of mental disorder.
I wonder how many such divorces are occurring here on this basis
