I posted a 10:00 Pm photo on June 30 to show how much sunlight we were getting at that time. Someone suggested that I post another photo on July 30. A suggestion like that was too good to miss.
So here is my photo from June 30.
Here's my photo from July 30 of the same street as above. It's light but not enough light to show color.
Keep an eye out for that first winter snowfall, Red!
ReplyDeleteYou don't need to remind me. You remember since you lived in good old North Dakota.
DeleteHappy August Red!
ReplyDeleteLove the last evening sky shot.
Take care, Happy Friday! Have a great weekend.
August is a very pleasant month.
DeleteA difference for sure. August 30th would be a great comparison too.
ReplyDeleteIt just might be a good idea for a photo. There might still be some glow from the sunset.
DeleteI also have been noticing the change.
ReplyDeleteIt comes very slowly at this time of year.
DeleteA little difference, but not much really.
ReplyDeleteChange is very slow at this time of year.
DeleteThe light is slipping away . . .
ReplyDeleteDays slowly get shorter.
DeleteJune 30 gave a glowing scene,
ReplyDeleteWith twilight skies in pastel sheen.
You captured light that wouldn’t quit—
The sun just stalled and sat a bit!
Then came July with equal flair,
Still sunlight lurking everywhere!
Red, I swear your northern skies
Have bribed the sun to never rise… or set!
John 😊
Still quite a bit of light!
ReplyDeleteWe might still be able to play baseball.
DeleteYes losing more light everyday:(
ReplyDeleteBut it's very slow.
DeleteYou can see the light regressing a bit.
ReplyDeleteFrom here on days get shorter faster!
DeleteHow funny, I just noticed the morning light coming through the back window hitting a different way. Probably because it was right in my eyes!
ReplyDeleteHoo boy...a reminder that we are once again moving towards a new season. This year seems to have truly flown.
ReplyDeleteSadly darker days are coming
ReplyDeleteYou're scaring me! Before we know it, we'll have snow!
ReplyDeleteAn excellent idea!
ReplyDeleteKay of Musings: I remember how surprised I was by the changes in daylight when we moved to Chicago in 1974. I remember especially noticing when I was working around 4:00 as I looked out my classroom window.
ReplyDeleteWe never noticed the differences growing up in Hawaii. Well… actually now that we’re back here, I still don’t pay attention to it.
Here in Sydney, we are inching up from our shortest day of 9hours and 52 minutes.
ReplyDeleteIm glad of a bit more light
I don’t know if it’s appropriate but it makes me sad that you get sunlight for really short period dear Red 🥰
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand we get toooo much sunlight for really longer time period around ten months of the year 😔 ,in winter though we enjoy sunlight thoroughly because of cool temperatures
The difference amongst both pictures is so obvious,I wish sunlight can stay longer in your area 🥰🙏
Nice sky!
