As I have reminded you before, that I have a new laptop. It's not always cooperative. I had to get my friend to help set it up when it got stubborn and wouldn't do anything.
Windows 11 is new to me and so is the laptop. So working with these two new situations and then finding my way back to previous settings has been a problem.
One thing that wouldn't come back, even with swearing, was my library account. I worked on it for about half an hour one night. Today I went to the library and they offered a time for me to work with them.
I came home and tried it again and up came my library account! I wasn't even swearing!
Now I wanted to get an ebook so that was my next problem. So I got my book and shut down for supper. I went to get my book after supper and couldn't find it and suddenly thought email. And there was my book on email.
So I learned quite a few things today that I have been puzzling my puzzler on.
New computers are always a challenge!
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't take much to challenge this old guy.
DeleteThe things you accomplish without swearing!
ReplyDeleteYes, swearing has nothing to do with it.
DeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI do not like using a laptop, I have one I rarely used.
I use my library to get ebooks a lot.
Take care, enjoy your day and the week ahead.
This is my first lap top. I think I will get used to it.
DeleteAdapting to something new can cause the air to turn blue. I'm glad you're finding your way through.
ReplyDeleteIt's surprising the things that show up after a while.
DeleteGreat post! Technology baffles me too but I also persevere!
ReplyDeleteThe younger generation knows a lot of this stuff automatically. They read the screen so that they see the whole thing.
DeleteAren’t we having fun with technology.
ReplyDeleteWe have to get some back up pills as the younger generations seem to know this stuff automatically.
DeleteGood for you, Red! New to me technology can be so frustrating and I admire how you don't give up and, with some help, you figure it out! Well done!
ReplyDeleteIt takes a lot of help.
DeleteSeems swearing’s out, but patience pays…
ReplyDeleteTech has its own mysterious ways!
Tech has it's own ways and I don't get them.
DeleteHa ha, well you stuck with it (no swearing, too) and found your way!
ReplyDeleteGood for you!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteI give up before I start. I don't own a laptop, just a PC. I like paper books. But I can still swear at other things. Linda in Kansas
ReplyDeleteThis is my first lap top. I think I'll get used to it. The toughest part here is windows 11.
DeleteHonestly, I am shocked Red! As a former member of the noble teaching profession you should definitely NOT be swearing - no matter how frustrated you become with new technology. I think that I am duty bound to report you to The Canadian Teachers' Federation.
ReplyDeleteI am happy that you are learning fast dear Red 🤗👍
ReplyDeleteIt’s interesting how everything appears in pair first come problem and then next is solution 🥰
I love it when situations that are so frustrating work out for us! Of course, it is no fun to go through that to start out with! Have a super, relaxing weekend with your book.
ReplyDeleteYegods! If I can't get by with Windows 10 I shall just call it a day.
ReplyDelete. On email? Wow! That's a new one for me. I'm still reading on my Kindle, but I might have to get a new one soon.
