We've had some nasty spring weather for the last three days. It's been very windy with snow flurries which have been enough for snow to accumulate on the ground.
We had wind gusts reaching 80 Km per hour. If you were in parking lots the wind blew the dust around enough to put dust in your eye.
Roads and traffic were in poor shape. In some areas people had to remain in their vehicles for 20 hours.
In my yard an old wooden tool shed blew over . The shed was very old and should have been replaced so now it will be replaced.
Oh my goodness! That is so scary! I sure hope you get some warmth soon.
ReplyDeleteSorry to see this. I hope you get decent Spring weather from now on.
ReplyDeleteOh my, no more snow. Take care, have a great day and a happy week.
ReplyDeleteJust as you thought winter had departed, it sneaked back again!
ReplyDeleteThis must be so disappointing. We are about to have a warm, sunny and not very windy spring day.
ReplyDeleteOh, goodness, that sure makes our weather in Illinois look much better. It's chilly but not as cold as you and NO SNOW. I guess you are used to that crazy weather after all these years, Red. ;)
ReplyDeleteI’ve got to smile about Ellen's comment: “I guess you are used to that crazy weather after all these years, Red. ;)” I can’t say anything better and it gives me a chance to say HI to Ellen. I enjoy your comments. 😊 By the way, Red, did you notice DJan is back?
DeleteWe have had quite the winds here as well. But while it is cold, we haven't seen snow since this past Monday. Take care!
ReplyDeleteWell, that's disappointing! Too bad about your shed, but as you said, at least it needed replacing anyway.
ReplyDeleteSpring seems reluctant to arrive in your neck of the woods. Sorry about that.
ReplyDeleteSorry you've got winter coming back to haunt you!
ReplyDeleteSorry you lost your woodshed Keith! I bet that you and Mrs Kline had some fun times in there!
ReplyDeleteWow you have had nasty weather. We have a cold front coming in but only rain is forecast.
ReplyDeleteI saw a video by some woman who was mad as hell because she was stuck on the highway to Fort Mac and nobody was helping them. She said there were no updates by the RCMP and no information
ReplyDeleteThis news made its way to me in Bergen and I ignored it, thinking I would deal with it when I got back! Was that the wooden tool shed you backed into and your neighbour helped repair it?
ReplyDeleteI've been hearing about some of the snowstorms around the country. I didn't realize you were also suffering where you live. Keep safe and warm. Hopefully the month of May will be much nicer.
ReplyDeleteIt is almost May-for goodness sake!-Christine cmlk79.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteand I thought the snow was done for the season. :(
ReplyDeleteHappy May, I hope the snow is over for this year.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
Dear Red it sounds awful in May certainly 😞
ReplyDeleteWhat a horrible wind to force people stay in their vehicles for twenty hours omg this is weird
Here we are about to have our windy and stormy months started from June to mid August but here we get loads of sand desert close by
Hope you have some pleasant spring days ahead 🙏
