Yes, all I need to say is snow an a whole lot of people are happy for many different reasons. Some, like me, genuinely like snow. Those who don't get snow like it because of it's beauty. Others will say "Ha ,ha, He's got snow again."
It snowed overnight and we had light snow all day for a total of 4 in. (10 cm). It's been minus 9 C(7 F) all day.So I was out right after breakfast to clean up my driveway and walks. It's the first time I've had to shovel snow this winter.
See my Nov. 6 post where I reported that we had a high of 17 C. I also predicted that my next day's picture might be very different. Well, it wasn't the next day but 4 days later.
If I'd had time today I would have got the cross country skis out and set my ski tracks!

ReplyDeleteThat's great enthusiasm!
DeleteOh I love snow!! I would not really like it being that cold but I love the snow! I am hoping that we will get snow in North Carolina this winter. Have fun and be safe in the snow!
ReplyDeleteCold comes with the territory. We get the dry powdery snow, not the wet slushy stuff.
DeleteGreat pictures, but I'm not ready for cold weather.
ReplyDeleteWell, I don't think anybody is ready for cold. Some of us get used to cold and carry on.
DeleteWe have snow on the ground here too..only about one inch..you win! Your snow is way prettier than ours:)
ReplyDeleteHey , it's not the finish line yet!
DeleteThe snow pictures are as always beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting how people find beauty in the snow.
DeleteTo me snow is lovely to see but certainly not something I'd like to live with. Just as well we are all different, huh?
ReplyDeleteInteresting comment....lovely to see. I think I covered that in my post.
DeleteOh, that is a sudden change! But I love it, the world always looks so fairylike with the white blanket.
ReplyDeleteThat's the way it works here on the east side of the Rockies.
DeleteVery beautiful photos. Winter is quite photogenic. I'm just not ready for it yet. Winter is long enough here; no need to start this early!
ReplyDeleteI think most people share your sentiments. We feel fortunate as winter is coming late,
DeleteI love the snow till I get to the city and then its all dirty and just nasty looking. I like walking with my snowshoes and cross country skis and don't mind the cold - just dress warm in layers, eh.
ReplyDeleteIf I'd had time today I would have set my ski trails.
DeleteI'm just finding all my outerwear to get ready. It was warm enough for no jacket yesterday.
ReplyDeleteWe've had winter stuff ready for a few weeks,
DeleteWhat fun! It won't stick around, will it? We haven't got our snow tires on yet, but we're averaging 5 C. or so. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteThis is probably her for good. It's minus 15 right now.
DeleteSorry, but so not ready for this!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't think anybody is ever ready for snow.
DeleteWe've got cold weather coming, but we need to travel to the High Country for snow. It's a-comin' as the days get shorter and darker. I am enjoying your pictures of snow, though. I suspect we'll have more. :-)
ReplyDeleteI think the snow topic is one of my more common posts.
DeleteNice sequence of photos! We had snow overnight here as well. Maybe a couple inches. I don't mind it.
ReplyDeleteI still had some things to do that I didn't want snow for. However, I can live with the snow.
DeleteOh, I love it, every bit of it. I like getting out for some cross country skiing.
ReplyDeleteIf I had time today I would have set my ski tracks.
DeleteI think where I live have to be ready if we like it or not. We have snow but rain also. Nice pics you show.
ReplyDeleteWe loss our T.V connection three times last night was ice on the satellite.
You're right , we have to be ready.
DeleteI like snow. It really is beautiful especially on pictures, because you don't feel the cold. :)
ReplyDeleteWhere I live now hasn't snowed that much yet but it gets colder and colder day by day.
For many people their only experience with snow is from photos.
DeleteNo snow here. Yet. Temps are suppose to drop, and drop hard! I'm ready! Love the cold air! It wakes you up quick in the morning! :)
ReplyDeleteCheri
As long as it's not too cold it's good for waking up.
DeleteI love snow but then I guess I don't have to make my way back and forth to work. But I love the look of it, the feel of it and walking in it. It's just beautiful and so are your photos.
ReplyDeleteIt brings back memories of when my kids were little and actually liked shoveling out the driveway. ;)
ReplyDeleteI cannot remember when I last saw snow like that: probably the 1980s. I'm hoping that this winter whilst I'm in Scotland I might have some. It would be lovely to see so long as it doesn't last too long!
