You'll never guess but we have another spring snowstorm today. Snow started in mid morning and continued into the afternoon. So it gave me an opportunity to take photos of one of my regular topics.
If you enlarge some of these you will see the snow flakes.
One lonely crow is among all the bohemian waxwings.
Brrr. We are having below normal temps, too, and above normal rainfall. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteIt's been a late spring in most places.
DeleteProbably not the last snow of this "spring" either:(
ReplyDeleteWill this winter ever end...
ReplyDeleteIt's turned into a long winter.
DeleteWe had a massive snow then ice storm. I think I prefer snow! Except that the snowblower is away for the season.
ReplyDeleteOntario had a very nasty storm.
DeleteCrazy weather! Those poor waxwings look COLD!
ReplyDeleteBirds do well. These waxwings stay all winter and are about ready to move north for nesting.
DeleteI'll add my grumbling to yours and the birds. Come on, spring! You can do it, come out and enjoy the sunshine instead of the precipitation, please! :-)
ReplyDeleteWe'll just have to be patient.
DeleteSpring is hiding!
ReplyDeleteWe had freezing rain yesterday and now it's some snow today.
You've had some very nasty weather.
DeleteOh, the poor waxwings. Oh dear. No snow here, but it is pretty cold.
ReplyDeleteThe bohemian waxwings stay here all winter. they are ready to move north.
DeleteThe bohemian waxwings look like very large buds on the trees! That looks to have been a heavy snowfall. I love the look and feel of that kind of snow, but not the results. Hopefully you'll have a melt soon.
ReplyDeleteThat's the most zoom I could use. We had heavier snow in the morning.
DeleteLooks like it's your turn to get the snow we've gotten recently. Let's hope this is the last of it!
ReplyDeleteThe forecast isn't that great for this week .
DeleteYes we are told that we will return to winter again tomorrow. Those scenes could look just like central Iowa. We lost snow today on a cold windy day but tomorrow they are saying the ride to work will be an adventure. I will stay home all day.
ReplyDeleteWe still have most of our winter snow.
DeleteMore snow!! It is a beautiful snow, but gosh, you must be ready for spring. You never complain about the weather. The birds are amazing!
ReplyDeleteThe waxwings are ready to leave us and move north. I rarely complain about anything.
DeleteIt's pretty but "enough already", right? My daughter in Minnesota got 15 new inches last weekend and another snow day off school for the kids. I think they will be making up school days until the 4th of July!
ReplyDeleteEnough is enough. We got 8 inches yesterday. Wet and heavy...:(
ReplyDeleteHello, I hope the spring snows are over soon. I love your Waxwing tree, I would love to see the Bohemian Waxwing. Happy Thursday, enjoy your day and weekend!
ReplyDeleteOh my, more snow? It's turned cold down here again. Looking forward to some warmer weather.
ReplyDeleteYou will be pleased no doubt when spring finally does arrive with some warmer days.
ReplyDeleteNeat photos ... that is a lot of birds in that one tree. Amazing shot!
ReplyDeleteIn mid April? Oh my gosh! And you guys sent it down to Illinois and Maryland, didn't you?
