ANOTHER MURAL

As most of you know I like wall murals. I enjoy seeing good quality wall murals. There are many styles and the topics are endless. Each artist has his/her own style. The beauty is that the art is very visible in the community. It's seen! Many artists produce things and they are not seen or appreciated .

The mural I'm showing today took a long time to complete. The local paper did a couple of stories while the work was in progress. I didn't take a good look at it until the other day. With this one you have to get out of the car to have a good look. You see much more when you walk up to it. However, to photograph this mural you have to back up against a wall. What I ended up doing is taking photos of each section.

Of course the wall belongs to a pub/restaurant that puts on shows.

So this mural is not only in a difficult position to photograph but it could have been in more vivid color and sharper detail.

    1. Just the painting alone is work and then it has to be scaled and drawn before that.

  7. When you look at the details it's quite interesting and well done. From a bit of a distance it just looks messy.

  8. Wall murals are a great way for talented artists to showcase their talents in a way to share with everyone vs. graffiti and this one was wonderful to see, Red. Nashua, NH has a number of wall art works within the downtown area and I may do a post on them in the near future.
Thanks for your recent comments on several of my blog posts. I always read and appreciate everyone's comments.

  11. A very nice mural! I like that it plays homage to some famous musicians. Is it on the back of a club or bar that has live entertainment maybe?

  14. Very cool mural. At first I thought they were all Canadian musicians but on a closer look the mural covers much more musical ground than that! It's frustrating sometimes when location makes a good picture hard to get, but you did well with that.

  17. An interesting collection of musicians. At first I thought they were all Canadian, but Bowie and Curtis were British, Cave is Australian and Simone was American. So there goes that theory! I wonder what the unifying ingredient is, then?
