I TOLD YA I'D BE BACK

We were forecast to get about 10 cm of snow today. It didn't happen . We got about 5 cm (2 in ) of snow.

From comments yesterday. We can get snow in September but it's not common. We usually get very pleasant fall weather in September.  This is our third dump of snow and we have no warm weather in the forecast.

The eternal optimist here says we will get lots more nice weather.

  1. Oh gee... That sure does look like a lot of snow, but it's so pretty. And I'm so hot here in Hawaii right now so I wouldn't mind a little snow.

  3. Well I don't much care for snow at this time of year when I'm planning to drive through the Highlands but then I'm not keen on the gales we are having either because the can play havoc with the ferries.

  4. I keep looking for a red deer in your snowy pictures but I never see one. I guess when the Micro Manager needs something doing in the kitchen she begins by saying sweetly. "Red Dear..!"

  5. it is a bit of a change! We've had a dump of rain, but we really need the moisture. If it melts, your snow, that is a bonus!

  6. Hello, I am not a snow lover or a winter lover. But, the snow on your photos does look pretty. I am hoping our winter is not too bad. Enjoy your day!

  7. I wondered if you got the snow you expected. Glad to know it wasn't all that much! It's pretty, though, when it melts and gets warm again, especially. :-)

  10. It is my kind of weather!

The first time back in September when Alberta got it, I remember giving directions to a fellow downtown, and he mentioned that he'd be going back home to Alberta the next day, where snow was waiting for him.

  17. Hi Red, I take it that the "eternal optimist" is the Micro Manager? It does seem like something mine would say. :-) I hope she is right. On the other hand, I sure enjoyed seeing your new snow photos. At least this time it doesn't look like it stuck on the street. Have a great weekend!
