A BOUQUET FOR FAR SIDE
Far Side from Far side of Fifty https://farsideoffifty.blogspot.com/and her family are going through a stressful time right now. Far Guy is slated for a lung transplant.
I know the yellow lady slipper is one of far Sides favorite flowers so here's a bouquet by photo. I also have one of Far side's carved yellow lady slippers which I won in a draw.
Its been a long time struggle for them. Hoping for the best...
ReplyDeleteWell said.
DeleteBeautiful. I've seen a lot of those flowers in Hawaii. I sure hope the lung transplant goes well.
ReplyDeleteIT'S A CHALLENGE IN SO MANY WAYS.
DeleteAhh, that is so sweet of you Red. It has been a long road for both of them with an even longer road ahead but I feel confident that things will work out well for them. They are two strong and special people. We love ya Far Side & Far Guy!
ReplyDeleteI wish them the best.
DeleteThat's a kind thought Red. Good luck to Mr Far Side.
ReplyDeleteIt's a challenge.
DeleteHello, Sending prayers and well wishes for the Far Guy. The orchids are beautiful. Enjoy your day, wishing you a happy new week!
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteWhat a journey it must be.
ReplyDeleteOne can only imagine what they're going through.
DeleteI didn't know, so thanks for telling. Wish them the best in all things physically, psychologically and spiritually.
ReplyDeleteYou're right. This situation covers so many parts of life.
DeleteSuch a thoughtful post, Red. I am keeping them in my thoughts as well. I think of Far Side whenever I see yellow flowers of any sort, but especially those pretty lady slippers. :-)
ReplyDeleteShe makes her preferences known.
DeleteSo kind of you to make this beautiful online bouquet. A true gift from the heart.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteBest wishes to your fellow blogger. Beautiful lady's slippers! I don't think I've ever seen one in real life.
ReplyDeleteI think they're a more northern species of orchid.
DeleteA sweet gift to Far Side. These very pretty lady slippers will surely bring a smile. I wish him the very best.
ReplyDeleteQuite pretty.
ReplyDeleteI have not seen their blog, but hopefully things go smoothly.
Thanks.
DeleteHow thoughtful of you! Yes, I follow Far Side's blog and am keeping my fingers crossed for good news.
ReplyDeleteGood news would be right.
DeleteThat was very thoughtful of you, Red. Good luck to the Far Guy, I hope everything goes smoothly and he has a complete and healthy recovery.
ReplyDeleteThanks. They're in a very tough situation.
DeleteDo you have those growing in your location too? I know Connie loves them. You are blessed to have one of their cravings.
ReplyDeleteThey are quite common here in natural areas and some grow in disturbed areas.
DeleteThat was really thoughtful of you!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty blossoms. I wish Far Side's fella an uneventful transplant and a swift, smooth recovery. It will be a life-changer.
ReplyDeleteThese are so exotic. I feel I have won the lottery when I run across something like this in the woods. Our little bit of tropical paradise. I am so sorry about your friend and hoping the stress does not make them all ill.
ReplyDeleteWow thanks Red! Our yellow Lady's Slippers are just about to bloom! We are headed back to the University for more testing. You are a doll and ever so kind!
ReplyDeleteVery thoughtful post. Hope all goes well for Far Guy and Far Side!
