Now six days later we had a high temp of 30 C (88 F)! That's what it's like here...extremes. I'm tearing down my fence and worked the whole afternoon which wasn't a good plan.
Today about 3:30 Pm we had a very heavy thunderstorm. There were very high winds. The rain was blown like snow. Our intersection flooded like it always does. We probably had about one inch of rain. We needed the moisture as it's very dry here.
So anybody want to guess what might happen in the next six days.
You'll be due for snow! We've had 20 mm rain today. A long one.
ReplyDeleteYesterday we had a heavy downpour at 3:00 Pm with some street flooding.
DeleteBuild a new man cave? :-) Add an addition to the house? Put in a swimming pool? :-)
ReplyDeleteHey none of these John. Just give me a chance to be outdoors. tomorrow I'm birding at 10:00 AM
DeleteWow you really have had extreme weather. I'm glad you got some much needed rain.
ReplyDeleteWe do get extreme weather. We are up beside the Rockies so freakie stuff happens.
DeleteGood grief! I didn't realize Canada was a country of such constant extremes. I thought Chicago was bad with a late snow possible in April.
ReplyDeleteChicago is for softies. I know my daughter lives there in La Grange.
DeleteYou are too funny!
DeleteThat’s crazy weather for sure and no guess in what comes next! Here in northern Ontario we have so much rain we”re watching for Noah!
ReplyDeleteWe are dry so we'd like some good rain.
DeleteThe climate is changing for sure, more extreme weathers everywhere...
ReplyDeleteExtreme is the key word.
DeleteHello, we have some crazy weather too. It does not feel like summer, our temps are lower than normal. I am glad you are getting some much needed rain. Wishing you a happy day and a great weekend!
ReplyDeletethere have also been some very destructive tornadoes in some areas.
DeleteYikes! That's quite a difference in temperature. The weather is a little crazy everywhere, isn't it? You are always telling me to take it easy and I send the same advice to you, Red! :-)
ReplyDeleteHey good one. In some things I'm busy and keep going. In other things , like shopping i can take it easy.
DeleteSounds like here only even more extreme. Not a good 'summer' so far!
ReplyDeleteYes, I haven't got very many Kms on my bike.
DeleteThat's Canada for you. Don't like the weather? Wait five minutes.
ReplyDeleteYou've got it ...especially in Alberta.
DeleteWell, at least the snow is gone! Glad you're getting some precipitation.
ReplyDeleteOne thing about Steve, He can always look on the bright side!
DeleteFrom snow to 88 degrees? As to what’s next — anything is possible!
ReplyDeleteOh it's much better from here. Snow is rare in June.
DeleteThat's crazy weather. It's been really cool and actually cold at night. We are not experiencing summer weather at all. Hope it will improve here and there.
ReplyDeleteHail, maybe? Hopefully no other weather extremes at all!
ReplyDeleteCrazy weather all over...a dust storm maybe if you are dry:)
ReplyDeleteI'm sure it will change...maybe not improve. but sooner or later we will be complaining about it being too hot.
ReplyDeleteThat is a lot of crazy weather. Mmmm... what's next? A tornado?
ReplyDeleteWacky weather! Hope it settles down for you soon.
ReplyDeleteFirst heat, then cold. Or else first cold then heat. With a little precipitation. Guaranteed!
ReplyDeleteI think I have noted this year's growing season is about 3 weeks behind? The lilacs were still in bloom last week and the wild roses are just coming out now. In My per renal flower garden the iris is just staring to bloom. Usually they are the first thing to bloom in early spring? My roses would have started by June 7 ,,, still waiting. The lilacs are just loosing their blossoms now. Everything is off kilter this year it seems. No Saskatoon yet either.
