DID I EVER TELL YOU I HATE SHOPPING?

I think I've written about my dislike for shopping many times. I've written more times about snow but not about disliking snow. In fact, I like snow. I don't even mind shoveling snow.

So every once in  a while things happen and it sends me over the edge as far as shopping tolerance is concerned.

First of all, this week had too many shopping trips in it.

Then some of these shopping trips had just too much of trickery involved.

Other trips were combined with shopping.

Okay Mon Morning we went to the walk in clinic. A prescription was given which we decided to fill after lunch and wouldn't it be a good idea to call at the bank while we waited for the prescription to be filled.

Wednesday was a physio therapy and lab appointment . And after that wouldn't it be great to have lunch at the casino. Then let's call at Canadian tire and get a sand bag for the car. And wouldn't you know it somebody decided to look at CO 2 detectors and if that wasn't enough a huge amount of time was spent looking at air fryers. I'd never heard of air fryers. Thur after lunch at Wendy's, we just had to go the Jysk because certain sheets were on sale and it was a good buy. And guess what?  It would be good to go and have a coffee with the skaters.

Well, Friday was a plane old grocery run.

I don't really mind some moderate shopping but this is way too much for me!  Poor me!

I don't mind shopping as long as I'm in control of where we go and what we do. I think I'm another Micro Manager :D

    1. One of the things that's tough for both of us is that my wife doesn't drive.

  2. Too funny. Art is just the opposite. He doesn’t like to shop, BUT if there’s something he’s planning to get, he’s got to go to every store to check out the different aspects of each and the price. Oh ho... air fryers, hunh? You have something delicious in your future.

    1. I had never heard of an air fryer but it sounds like it would be a good appliance.

  3. I don't like shopping either but I do like a bargain. Unfortunately that means watching the sales flyers and catching the bargains when they are available. It seems it's usually at an inconvenient time, lol.

  4. Ah, there's always something in the shops that beckons the buyer.
I do not need an air fryer; I am in the market for an electric frypan.
Did you go to the bank to enquire about a loan in case someone (not you, of course) actually bought all those lovely items?

  5. I'm not crazy about shopping either but I do like a reason to get out of the house in the winter when I can't be outside. It sounds lie that's what your wife had in mind too.

  6. I understand your pain. My husband and I are the opposite of many couples. He likes to shop and I hate it. He especially likes to go to multiple hardware stores in one trip. When I go shopping I take a list and like to go in, get my items and leave. Now I don't mind eating lunch out though - anything to stay out of the kitchen!

  8. This is a bit like us. "While we're out, let's go here and do this too." I am pretty well used to it by now.

  10. Hello, I am not crazy about shopping either, but I see it more as exercise. Counting my steps in the stores rather than outside in the cold. Have a happy day and weekend!

  11. I don't mind shopping for anything as long as it isn't grocery shopping. That is my least favorite of all. I do like to get out of the house a couple of days a week, though.

  13. Most men I know don't like to shop. I am not a big shopper these days. Your trials and tribulations of shopping are familiar to many of us. Made me smile, though, to think of you being dragged around like that. :-)

  14. I can so identify with this post. We don't like to go shopping at all. It's a running joke at our house. I'll say, "I really need to get some new jeans (or sneakers or socks, etc)" and Roger says, "Yeah, but you'll have to actually go to the store." We laugh and laugh and never go.

  15. Wow, you sure got in some shopping. Happy to hear your experience with the air fry cookers. Those are a really popular new item. My Micro Manager wants one and I have been instructed to check out the possibilities. Did you end up buying one? I've found a lot of great reviews for the Cuisinart and it is available at Costco for a reasonable amount. Keep up the good work with your posts here on Hiawatha House!

  20. We like our air fryer it makes awesome homemade french fries using real potatoes! :) I am so not a shopper...except maybe at the craft stores:)

  21. Well, you're still standing, so it couldn't have been that bad! LOL

I don't mind shopping as long as it doesn't involve many stops along the way. I prefer to just tackle one or two shops at a time.

  22. I agree that some weeks are like that and then there may be others when you will really want to go someplace and have nowhere in mind. Did you make many purchases on these outings?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Yes, you did get tricked, but some of those stops seem like fun!
