WHITE CHRISTMAS

In many places people wish to have a white Christmas. It's a romantic idea and is probably encouraged by Irving Berlin's classic I'm dreaming of a white Christmas.

I am definitely going to have a white Christmas here. We had a heavy snowfall three days ago.

There is also another color for Christmas that I must remember...the blue Christmas. So some people have had losses and sadness for many other reasons. There are many places where a blue Christmas ceremony is held.

Here's wishing all my fellow bloggers a Merry Christmas.

    1. Snow falling in the woods is certainly very, very quiet. all other sounds seem to be muffled.

  8. It has been pouring here, so all of the little snow that was here is gone except for bits of ice that were under snowbanks. However, snow is next on the agenda.

  9. A Merry and white Christmas you will certainly enjoy, Red, whereas here in NH our own is wet and snow-less thanks to the very warm temps the past couple of days. Best wishes to you and the micro manager for a happy holiday of joy.

  11. I guess a white Christmas probably isn't such an event when snowfall is as common as it is where you live! Still, I hope you're enjoying your holiday!

    1. Yes, our chances of having snow are high. It's just that people like Irving Berlin romanticized the thing.

    1. We had a good snowfall about three days ago so your snow probably came from here.

  15. Merry Christmas. They interrupted 'it's A Wonderful Life' every 30 min to update us on the terrible storm due to hit us. This morning we woke up to an awful sight. There must have been a full half inch.

  19. I remember the snow last year when we were in Illinois and Maryland. And here I am looking out my window in sunny Hawaii and your photos are making me feel nostalgic.

I'm really sorry for those who are suffering a blue Christmas. We have suffered COVID and other losses here as well. It's been a difficult year.
