I DON'T LIKE MY WEATHER FORECAST

Today we had a rather nasty day. It was windy. Thunder showers would blow through with wind and heavy rain. There was lots of lightning and thunder.

I was going to get groceries at 7:00 AM but it was raining. I decided to have breakfast and see if it stopped raining. Well it stopped raining so I got my groceries.

About noon there was lots of thunder and lightning and a heavy shower.

So it's been a very unpleasant day.

We are a bit dry here so some rain would be appreciated. I have some garden planted but I think it's too early as there could be frost.

Tonight it is supposed to rain and the rain will change into snow by morning so I may have some snow photos for you in the morning.

And if I'm lucky it might not snow!

  1. I hope you are lucky and it does not snow! All that rain will at least make everything green and beautiful. We have just had a week of rain and thunderstorms with more expected next week. The sun did come out today but when I went outside the ground was so soggy my feet sunk a bit in the grass. I hope you have some sunny days soon!

  2. Hello,
We had similar weather a few weeks ago, overall this spring has been cooler, windy and a little wet. Now, we could use some rain after having some dry warmer days. Take care, enjoy your day!

  5. We've had cool and rainy weather lately, too. Last night it blew and poured enough to wake me up. I hope you don't have snow.

  7. That lightning and that thunder! Almighty God is clearly not happy with Red Deer. There must have been a lot of sinning going on. Next there'll be a plague of locusts or it will start raining frogs. That is when you will know that The Lord is more than unhappy with you and your fellow citizens - he's livid!

  8. Well, I don't blame you for not wanting snow. It seems WAY too late for that kind of weather! As for thunder and lightning, we're getting that here too. As you said, the garden needs the moisture, at least.

  9. We have rain today but just a steady, quiet soaking so that's good for the yard. It is going to warm up into the 90s(F) next week and I am not ready for that! Way too early for Illinois! From heating to air conditioning in just a few days! At least no snow tho!! :)

  10. I hope you don't get that snow. We had thunder and lightning two days ago. First time since last fall. What do you plant early and is it robust enough to stand cool weather?

  12. Red, i wouldn't like a snow forecast either - not in May. If you got some, hope it was only a gone-by-9am dusting. But still :(

    1. I'm sure the snow won't stick around long but south of here near the Montana border they are forecast to get 25 cm of snow.

  15. I don't live there and I too do NOT like your weather forecast, Red. Hope the early plantings survive the forecast and that it is wrong!

  18. You could send us down some of that rain if you want to. We could use some —the magnolias aren’t blooming like they should because it’s so dry.

  19. Rain is always welcome this time of year. But to a point! We need nice weather to get outside and get some fresh air and exercise!

  20. What? Snow? I had to check the date of your post. I can't believe you're still expecting rain to turn to snow. It's pretty warm over here in Hawaii, but we are expecting rain this coming week. Poor mom won't be able to get laundry done.
