FALL COLOR

Last Sunday afternoon I spent a couple of hours at the Michael Obrien Wetland in Red Deer Alberta. This is a man made wetland which takes street runoff and runs it through a number of ponds which have plants which help to clean the water before it enters the river system. It's a very successful natural system.

It was a very beautiful fall afternoon . I walked for the two hours and the Micro Manager sat on a bench.

  1. There is a hay bale across a culvert in an early photo. Until I enlarged it, I thought it was a bear.

  9. You know what struck me as I read you post: the part about cleaning water naturally. We have the answers, don't we? Why are we so resistant to incorporating the solutions into action?

Your colors are far advanced of ours. What a beautiful walk you had, and at the end of it, your very own micromanager waiting patiently for you.

  15. Your leaves are so much further ahead into fall than ours. We walked a trail today and 99% of everything was still green.

    1. Let's say I was out for two hours. So a lot of that was looking for good things to make a photo.

  17. The photos with the reflections in the water are wonderful - twice the impact in each photo. I could have sat on the bench too :)

I've heard of the runoff purification systems; so glad you have a successful one there.
