We are in another nasty cold spell. It's not record breaking cold just good old fashioned cold. Now at 8:30 PM it's minus 28 C (minus 18 F). We are looking at a low of minus 33 C.
We have two more days of very cold and then some warmer weather for a few days. Then it gets cold again.
There's been some snow with the cold so I've been outside shoveling. It's not too bad to be outside if you have the proper clothing on.
It's been mostly clear so I'm going to get out tomorrow for a few photos.
We used to get those temperatures but haven't seen them in a number of years, so now I think minus 10C is cold :) Stay warm and I look forward to your photos.
ReplyDeleteYou and the Micro Manager stay warm and safe Red. Please take good care of yourself out there. Shoveling in such dangerous temperatures sounds sketchy, even with the right clothes on.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing your photos...no falling over please!!
ReplyDeleteBrrr...it's cold everywhere in Canada it seems. Even we are getting a blast of Arctic weather in Vancouver. It snowed last night and more on the way. Keep warm.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to the photos - did I see on the Nws that 5feet of snow was forecast somewhere in tne US?
ReplyDeleteOld man winter is not in a hurry to leave.
ReplyDeleteBrrr…stay warm and take care!
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteIt is the opposite here, we are having milder weather. Take care, have a great weekend.
We are also sunny and very cold! I can feel my eyelashes freeze!
ReplyDeleteBrrrr! That's really cold, Red. We have been surprised at how mild our Winter has been here in Illinois. We usually have lots more snow but I probably shouldn't say that as we could still get more in March! :)
ReplyDeleteHere it's minus 14.
ReplyDeleteMinus 33C! That's really really cold. I've been complaining a bit about our temps here at +30 degrees. I think I need to get warmer clothes. I'm looking forward to your photos.
ReplyDeleteStay warm, Red. Looking forward to seeing your photos.
ReplyDeleteIt's cold here too, but not THAT cold!
ReplyDeleteI can't complain about my 4° F. this morning then but cold is cold anytime it gets below freezing. Our wind has stopped which made it better.
ReplyDeleteI think the same weather that hit you has hit us here in Seattle as well. We had a record low temperature last night. My hummer feeders froze and I had to thaw them out before daylight this morning so my hummers could have some breakfast. Today was clear and sunny but cold, at least for us, at around 37F. (2.7C) Another very cold night ahead, slow warming in the days ahead but possible snow around the first of next week. I will look forward to the pics you took today. John
ReplyDelete-24 F or -31 C this morning, tomorrow should be the last really cold day for a few days then we get above zero. It is not record breaking just cold:(
ReplyDeleteRecord breaking warm yesterday, about 10F today. You know which day I had to take the car for service!
ReplyDeleteOh wow! I hope your furnace is working efficiently. A teacher friend of mine lives in Michigan and just lost power in an ice storm.
ReplyDeleteI managed to go snowshoeing Friday. It was sunny, at least.
