There has been controversy about celebrating Canada Day - even here in my little town. The powers-that-be announced that to respect indigenous people they would no longer have Canada Day celebrations. I did notice, though, that they were instead putting on what they called a "Summer Launch" with music and other entertainment just as they usually do on Canada Day . . . do they think people cannot see through that, I wonder?
I hope you enjoyed Canada Day doing Canadian things like eating mooseburgers, dressing up like a Mountie and talking French. Please remind Jean that August 1st is Yorkshire Day.
Happy Canada Day!
