This week I decided to take a walk and find some of my favorite flowers. It was hotter than I thought so the walk was slower than I thought. Part of the trail consists of about 150 steps where you go up or down the escarpment. The steps have never been a problem before but this week I had to take a few breaks.
This small city has many trails. There are about 100 km of upgraded paved trails for easy walking and cycling. There are trails improved with shale or grave. And then thee are unimproved trails.
So I enjoyed my walk. I found the wild flowers I was looking for but there were many butterflies around.
I'm so happy for you that you were able to have a nice walk and saw wildflowers which I love. I'm not out of the woods with jet-lag and health strains though. Soon, I hope.
ReplyDeleteJet lag and seats that are too close together give lots of discomfort in traveling.
DeleteLooks like a nice day for a walk. Take care, enjoy your day and the week ahead!
ReplyDeleteI prefer cooler weather for a good walk but I knew I'd miss some flowers if I didn't get there.
DeleteThe photos draw you in for sure!
ReplyDeleteI like taking photos of the bends in the trails.
DeleteNice walk, Red. I also have to take it slower in the heat.
ReplyDeleteI wore jeans because I was worried about ticks. Jeans are too hot to wear.
DeleteThat sounds like pleasant and beneficial exercise. It’s been too hot and humid here in South Carolina to walk outdoors so we have either been doing the treadmill at the gym or doing laps in a mall. Turns an exercise I love into a chore!
ReplyDeleteHowever , an airconditioned mall is more comfortable than the outside heat. Here many people mall walk in the winter.
DeleteNice to get out for a walk to see the flowers and butterflies.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a nice smooth trail!
ReplyDeleteLots of very good asphalt trails here.
DeleteThat looks smooth and good to walk.
ReplyDeleteGood cycling too.
DeleteSounds wonderful! I've only seen one monarch butterfly here, and then I put out a butterfly milkweed plant. I used to see many monarchs growing up in Oklahoma. The decline is real, as I haven't seen any others. Linda in Kansas
ReplyDeleteMonarchs seem to be spotty. some areas have them and some not very many.
DeleteYou are fortunate to have those beautiful trails.
ReplyDeleteI love the green!
ReplyDeleteSince it's drier here we don't have the green you do. We only have spruce in certain areas.
DeleteIt's always nice to have places to walk.
ReplyDeleteWe're very fortunate here and have many great trails.
DeleteIt looks and sounds like a lovely walk Red. Those flat trails look appealing to me.
ReplyDeleteIt was fin but I had to wear jeans because of the ticks.
DeleteThat's a wonderful trail to walk.
ReplyDeleteIt's better for biking.
DeleteA good spot for a walk.
ReplyDeleteThe heat really gets to me.
350 acres in this area.
DeleteWalking is always enjoyable!
ReplyDeleteI kept track of my cycling mileage but have never kept track of walking.
DeleteA road well travelled
ReplyDeleteKeep walking regularly Red! It will give you a few more blogging years. Were the wild flowers for Jean? I guess they were as you are a romantic chap.
ReplyDeleteI've traveled that road many times.
ReplyDeleteLush and serene surroundings provid perfect environment for a beautiful walk.
ReplyDeleteI loved the glimpse
