Well guess who's looking forward to longer warmer days. Who's counting down the minutes. January, the toughest winter month is behind us. We've had an excellent mild winter except for about ten days in January. I can't complain.
We are in the middle of an incredibly mild spell.
So things are moving towards spring.

ReplyDeleteOur governments are a very sad examples .
DeleteYes Red I am noticing it here in the Dales too - especially a series of wonderfully colourful sunrises.
ReplyDeletethere's even a small bit of light in the east when I get up at 7:10.
DeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI do enjoy the milder weather and the longer daylight. I hope February will be mild. In the past we have had some of our biggest snow storms in February! Take care, have a great day!
Our big snowstorms come in March.
DeleteFor the first time in many years, we got pounded this January, receiving all our average annual snow and then some in three days, followed by a week of extreme cold. But we ended the last week of January with very mild temperatures and much of the snow is now gone so I'm not complaining.
ReplyDeleteWell, we need some nasty weather so that we can appreciate the good weather.
DeleteI am also looking forward to longer days. It's been a month since the solstice.
ReplyDeleteDay length is starting to increase . Right now it's about 3 minutes but it will increase
DeleteYay for longer days! A lot of winter left but the light after 5 every day gives me hope.
ReplyDeleteYes, afternoons are getting longer.
DeleteI like that I am not closing the curtains as early!
ReplyDeleteWe can almost eat super when it's light out.
DeleteThere is that feeling of relief today...halfway to equinox...
ReplyDeleteRelief is a good word.
DeleteWe're having pretty mild weather too. (Probably downright summery by your standards!)
ReplyDeleteWe get warm summers and cold winters so your temp wouldn't be summery. It would be very nice though.
DeleteIt's been in the 60's (F) here for a few days but now is headed down again with rain (and snow?) in the forecast.
ReplyDeleteSeems funny to see those temps for Arizona.
DeleteThe days are longer enough now that we can reallyu notice it.
ReplyDeleteWe can just about eat supper in the daylight.
DeleteI recently read that daylight will increase by more thAN AN HOUR THIS MONTH. capslock
ReplyDeleteI'm certainly counting down the minutes!
ReplyDeleteYou're not the only one.
DeleteOn the downhill side to spring.
ReplyDeleteThe coming of the light, another springtime, another summer. Gradually we emerge from our winters like butterflies. Roll on March!
ReplyDeleteThat's rather poetic.
DeleteIt's been lovely here with the sun shining more and the days warming up.
ReplyDeleteHmmm.. It's 6:00 PM right now and it's still sunny. I just checked the weather news and it says it will set at 6:22. Sunrise will be at 7:08 AM. So yes, I guess the days are getting longer here in Hawaii.
ReplyDeleteI like the change!
