YES, IT SNOWED TODAY

When I woke up this morning it seemed brighter than usual. It had snowed overnight so I was waking up to a world of white. We probably had about 2 cm of snow on the ground.

It s normal to get snow at this time of year and sometimes we can get a storm with lots of snow.

It was foggy this morning so it was a very dull day.

However, my blue bells are coming up.

  1. Good gosh! THAT is a lot of snow for April. And here I thought Chicago got lots of late snow... but not usually in April. I hope your bluebells survive, Red.

    1. We also had snow the day before. Blue bells are tough and they will survive.

  2. 70 F predicted here for later today - unseasonal but not as rare as snow. Unsurprisingly perhaps I also spotted a few bluebells on yesterday's stroll.

  5. Hi Red, Quick question: By today, April 6, I would guess Red Deer has experienced winter-style weather for around 6 months. At this point, when you have a late snow, like this one in your post, what do you hear from locals? Do they like it, not like it, or maybe just don’t care? John

    1. Well nobody likes it. We do care as we've had enough snow. By my count it's 5 months. Snow usually doesn't start until November.

  6. I can’t get accustomed to fog and snow. It just doesn’t feel right somehow.

  14. Your Blue Bells look pretty with snow on them but they will look so much prettier when that white is gone, which I am thinking could be about now as I write this comment!
