MORE MURALS

As I said when I showed you murals from a previous post, there are more. I finally got out to find the murals and take some photos. They are not as good as the first murals I showed. I also was out on a very bright day so some of the photos are not that good but you're going to see them anyway.

Well, I guess you have the choice of looking at them or not!

As usual, a few cars are in the way and a cyclist photo bombed me in one photo. The one I like is the owl on the building. They used the shape of the building but otherwise it's a little rough.

  1. These are some neat murals and your photos are not bad at all. Yes, the owl is a very cool one. The more I see of Red Deer, the more I like it.

    1. They are meant to make the city more attractive. These are in a back alley.

    1. I should have taken more time looking at the murals before I took the photos.

  7. The owl is VERY cool. But what do the steps say? I'm trying to make sense of them. The floral patterns and the yeti(?) alone in the mystery: is that all the same building? What a job that must have been even to paint one side. I love these murals. Thanks for sharing.

    1. You know, I'm sure there were words on the step that were obvious but I can't make them out in the photo. I'll just have to go back.

    2. when you go back try viewing them from the other side of the porch. I puzzled over this one for a while. I think it says "Evolve", but I would love to know if I'm right.

    1. I'm glad that you like them. It's tough to get a photo in a narrow alley.

  10. That is quite a collection and with very different styles. I thought NO. 4 was a silhouette of a hunched man on the mural with the eyes watching and had to look closely to see it was an actual man on a bike! Good capture!

  15. nashua, NH, also has quite a lot of artwork in the form of wall murals and sculptures. It was nice to see there are similar art wall projects in other locations. As for people and cars "getting in the way" it's usually unavoidable.
