I've had a good string of luck lately. If I talk about it will the run end?
Well I've just got to tell you my luck anyway.
A few months ago the bank made a boo boo which didn't lose us any money but created a headache for more than just me. My tax man had to find out why I got several thousand more of a refund from income tax. The tax dept. had to discover what was wrong and how to fix it. So the bank came up with several treats for inconveniencing me.
Then I told you abut my find of wheel chair and walker. That makes three instances of good fortune.
Well it went on to four pieces of good luck. When I was on my way to the birding walk last Sat . morning, I found a nice crisp 20 dollar bill on the curb. I looked around there was no one in the area. So I guess the 20 dollar bill is mine!
So onward and no issues of superstition of talking about good luck.
Funny how luck runs in streaks.
Alright for your streak of good luck! I'm happy for you. For me sometimes good luck is not having bad luck!
ReplyDeleteThat's a neat way to turn a phrase.
DeleteMay your good luck continue (unless of course it would rather cross the Atlantic and reside with me for a week or two!).
ReplyDeleteLuck or not I'd still like to visit the Uk,
DeleteThat's funny! A week ago a crisp Canadian twenty dollar bill blew right out of my wallet and was lifted into the sky by a gust of wind. What is the serial number? I will check it with my own records.
ReplyDeleteYes, that's funny alright. You never know what could happen. I spent the bill right away so that the evidence is gone!
DeleteYes, you are on a streak! Time to buy a lottery ticket, I think. :-)
ReplyDeleteOk buy a lottery ticket of visit the casino.
DeleteFunny that you wrote this post about luck on Friday the 13th, an unlucky day! Hope your luck continues, Red!
ReplyDeleteWell that was blind luck. I never thought about that. I have a tough enough time to remember the date let alone what it's important for.
DeleteI hope it is only Good Luck which runs in streaks - we don't want bad luck doing the same.
ReplyDeleteBad luck streaks are just longer.
DeleteIt does sound like you've been on. a very nice good luck streak there. I hope it keeps going on!
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm not holding my breath that it will last longer.
DeleteNOt one to have lucy streaks, but glad that you have them!!
ReplyDeleteI don't think very many of us have lucky streaks.
DeleteFunny how that happened.
ReplyDeleteNo rhyme or reason behind this.
DeleteWell, that's much, much better than a streak of bad luck. We all have both kinds, but not everyone notices the good luck! Well done.
ReplyDeleteYes , we don't appreciate the good things that happen.
DeleteMaybe you should get yourself to Vegas as soon as possible!
ReplyDeleteWell, maybe I should just visit one of the local casinos.
DeleteI'm ready for some good luck. :-(
ReplyDeleteOkay, here's hoping that some good things come your way.
DeleteI don’t think I’ve ever found anything larger than a nickel! You are lucky.
ReplyDeleteI'm out all the time so I do find things that are lying around. I've never found a 20 before.
DeletePayback for a happy life.
ReplyDeleteWell, sure, I'll admit that I've had a very happy life.
DeleteThe last time I found cash it was a couple of twenties.
ReplyDeleteHooray for found money. Maybe it was from the Feds for messing up the tax refund. Linda in Kansas
ReplyDeleteI have had lots of good things happen in my life but when we talk of luck, the thing I remember is when I won a ham for Christmas in a raffle at work. That would be almost 30 years ago.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoyed your lucky 20!
Well done!
ReplyDeleteHow did my 20 get all the way up there, must have been the wind:)
ReplyDeleteGood for you! Enjoy the good luck while you have it!
